BirbMonster Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 don't mind me just lurking on zoochat.com for Planet Zoo inspiration (I can't design enterances) (I really like the first one, might reference that)
BirbMonster Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Not exactly sure what I'm doing btw Did do a gift shop for the first time, I'm proud of the counter because I used indivudual planks for it and I like the effect that makes 1
BirbMonster Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Obsessed with the elephant plush in this game btw. It's so round I want one irl 1
BirbMonster Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Update: I can't decide if this island looked better without the statues... 1

BirbMonster Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Started building the first actual exhibit with animals, that's all for today

BirbMonster Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 I believe it's just about done now, just needs a few finishing touches and then I can move on to the next animal. 2
BirbMonster Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 Working on a meekat enclosure The animals are loosley organised by continent (some willl be in location-based segments, some won't. I want to make a seperated tropical house for example). I think I'll call this part of the zoo 'Heart of Africa' 1
BirbMonster Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 woman being oddly fascinated by the wall 1
BirbMonster Posted July 15, 2024 Author Posted July 15, 2024 Here's a rough plan of the enclosure arrangement in the african area of the zoo (wooden boxes mark where enclosures will be. Their exact shape will be less boxy, obviously. There will be more exhibits than this and sizes are subject to change (bricks are what I'll use to mark where guest facilities will be. The only one right now is just a viewing balcony thing) One more thing, the trail of stone marks where the river will be, not the path (there will be so many bridges in this zoo lol) (totalyl not too lazy to finish the meerkat enclosure roof right now, no no no)

BirbMonster Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 Starting on the Okapi area Kinda going for realism with this one. There will be Bongos on the other side of the rock wall btw
BirbMonster Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 I hope this zoo doesn't blow up my computer later down the line because I'm using a lot of building pieces for some of these things For example, this custom path here is all indivdual plank pieces Also, lag tip: If a building piece has an option to have climbing on or off, turn it off unless it's supposed to be part of a climbing frame! Climbable pieces cause a lot of lag because of having to load more physics (or something) so turning climbing off as much as you could help (especially if you have a big zoo which is where the lag really starts)
