I really like doing these things guys I love doing them (I've done multiple ask threads on the wiki and I have a tumblr blog for these guys, the blog is really inactive unfortunatley as I don't get asks often)

Anyways, the beginning of this thread serves as a quick introduction to each character. They exist in an AU of the canon lore that's officially called Monstrous Lore Archive, but I like to call it 'AU where the worldbuilding is grounded and serious + caters only to me' so pretend canon isn't real if you know literally nothing about msm

 

ANYWAY- if you don't get it then the goal of this is that you can pick any one of these guys and I'll answer questions about them in-character. The lines seperate them into groups who have canonically met!

Not everyone is here only because I have not done headshots for two of them and I like my consistency thank you

Scorch Skyflare

She/her, 20 yrs, Kayna but with a mutation that's like 1 in a hundred thousand or something

TS: Family Jewels (Marina)

• Royalty, heir to the throne in the one nation to have an absolute monarchy, good ol' trope of 'does not want to be queen but her mother is trying to pressure her into it'
• Probably has a lot of repressed anger because of that
• Explores caves for fun. Where she lives this is just the average nature, rhino sized carnivorous lizards and all!

Ember Tweedlewings

She/her, 23 yrs, completley normal Kayna

TS: Community Gardens (The Scary Jokes)

• Her own island was bombed (there is currently threat of a second war because of this), she moved into Scorch's island (Fire Haven). Her scars are caused by this too, they impacted her vision and mobility
• Currently just trying to stay afloat until the situation gets better so she can go back + still trying to regain her confidence
• Scorch's secret girlfriend lol

She/they, 25yrs, Dandidoo

TS: Burning Pile (Mother Mother)

 

• Was actually quite well-known at one point (really good at this world's magic system and therefore, sport)
• Due to committing murder (it's fine it was in self-defense and by accident!) she's on the run from law enforcement so she changed her appearence (cut her... hair? feathers?, wears a scarf and mask most of the time) and goes by a fake name, Seed Moonfall

Pandora Sunflow

She/her, 19yrs, Tweedle

TS: Beird (Jack Stauber)

• Least traumatised out of anyone. She's the only sun amongst all these worrying backstories
• Gwen's younger sister, hasn't seen her since 'the incident' 
• College student, trying to became a therapist (let's make the world a better place woop woop!) Probably a good thing considering the things everyone else is going through

She/they, 62yrs, Ghazt

Theme song: Rät (Penelope Scott)

• Wise, mysterious, powerful old lady probably better at the magic system than Gwen (might make them fight, someday)
• Basically adopted all the other traumatised 'youngsters' (young compared to them- all but one were minors when she first met them) 
• Takes the adopted ones on interdimensional adventures
• Despite feeling a duty to protect traumatised youngsters she has her own traumatic past too. Her story is based on Clearsight from WoF if that tells you anything

Cherish Luminesence 

She/her, 21yrs, Dragong/Whaddle fusion.. thing?

Theme song: Harpy Hare (Yaleokre) (I probably spelled that wrong)

• Really awful mother, completley missing other nonbinary parent
• Due to her upbringing she has poor social skills and is curious about almost everything

Harrassment of Hahoo's Gaurdians (Call them Harry please) (we don't talk about the source of their full legal name)

They/them, 25yrs, Hyehehe

Theme song: Candleburn (Rabbitology)

• We DO talk about the source of their full legal name actually. They were born into a cult and wouldn't you guess it's name
• They too have a similiar curiousity to Cherish. They speak multiple languages, and are trying to research the ones they find texts in during the afforementioned interdimensional adventures
• 'Brains' of the team

Bulldozer Neverbreak

He/him, 25yrs, T-Rox

Theme Song: Providence (Poor Man's Poison)

• From a dystopian alternate timeline that the previous three found, did I mention interdimensional adventures?
• Still getting used to a world that.. still has some not good stuff going on honestly but at least it's not whatever was going on back there. He's a really nice guy though. But Harry is 'brains' then this guy is 'brawn'.

Lucky Nightcharm

He/him, 33 yrs, Pango

Theme song: A Sadness Runs Through Him (The Hoosiers)

• Depressed middle-aged single father who somehow got dragged into this whole interdimensional adventures thing
• Hardly gets a chance to come, though. His daughter is too young to bring.
• Running on one hour of sleep and three litres of coffee. Probably will get fired if he continues to go on the adventures instead of to work but nobody has any idea where he's going and it's the only escapism he has

• Stuck on Earth for some reason let's hope those adventure guys will find him
• At first he appreciated seeing somewhere new but then he was like 'wait crap how do I even get back' and now it's been 7 years but he still has hope!

• Literally died 25 years ago so we're travelling back in time for this one
• obsessive over both her job and her childhood friend
• this is in fact the racist purple fox who started everyone else's lore
• a horrible person really

 

Few ground rules before you ask:

• Please at least skim through their bios first. You don't need to know msm lore though, so don't be shy!
• Please be nice to them!
• I won't answer questions about appearence in-character. The only time I will is if that aspect of their appearence actually matters- though a lot of the time it's just their species' design/random markings I added to make them distinguishable from the rest of their species)

"I don't really have a favourite from the Monster World- but I'm trying to figure out the Thumpieverse's language! Without limbs to write with, their writing system uses splotches of colour to signify different letters, rather than shapes,"
