The four Clans living in peace, like they'd always done, but then something happened out of the blue to make them turn on one another, Clan against Clan, in constant battles, almost non-stop.
Medicine cats are escorted by warriors to the Moon Crystal. Even they aren’t safe from hostile clans.
Isn’t it weird how a single cat can create division among four clans unified by the Stars? Well, they used to be…

-

Clans of Heather, Mule, Forest, and Berry. Each living in peace and harmony amongst one another.
But it didn't last long, as a ruthless and cruel warrior of HeatherClan began to become bloodthirsty and ambitious for leadership. The warrior was soon exiled from the Clan, unwelcomed for his deeds. For the attempted murder of his faithful and noble Clan leader, whom of which left him with permanent scars all along his flank and gained some of her own along the way.
This former warrior of Clan still lurks, waiting for the right time to pounce. Still wanting and seeking revenge and leadership of one or multiple Clans, and soon all.
False rumors had been spread among the Clans. Making each one turn on the other, causing battles day and night between them.
Will StarClan send down a blessing? Or had they abandoned the Clans when war broke out on the borders?

Gatherings had not been attended for a while. Medicine cats aren’t safe. Kits and apprentices are put at risk. Elders are forced to unretire. Warriors return home, injured after a confrontation during a border patrol. Will these battles ever end?

This is not a rp, since that didn't really work out, so now it's a sim instead

Moon 1 Day 1 | Slight Rain

You stirred to the sound of hushed voices among a few of the other warriors. Something about the dawn patrol getting into a scuffle with HeatherClan warriors at the border. It wasn't anything new, and it shouldn't be such a shock. Any good relations with HeatherClan had depleted.

The soft pitter-patter of steady rain leaked through the roof of the den, landing on a bit of moss in your nest, occasionally hitting your pelt, reminding you of the few scars you had from your own encounters with the other clans, which were anything but peaceful. The hostility between the clans have, somehow, gotten worse over the last few moons. New disagreements arose, causing further tensions and greater risks of the other clans invading.

"Stormriver is in the medicine den thanks to those swamp-settlers." One of the warriors hissed, his distinctive voice making you recognize Smokesong. "He nearly died."

"Stormriver is in the medicine den thanks to those swamp-settlers." One of the warriors hissed, his distinctive voice making you recognize Smokesong. "He nearly died."

Driftsong flicked his ear as they awoke. Another scuffle, another cat almost dead, another thing to complain about... The droplets of water hitting their pelt caused them to shiver, shaking their whole body before stretching out their front paws, yawning. Oh, stars above, how he wanted this whole war to end.. What was it even about at this point? Eugh, either way, he should probably go and get up, get ready for any patrol he was going to be assigned to... They slowly stood themselves up, walking out of the den. They tried to ignore Smokesong, averting their gaze from the fellow warrior despite his plea for somebody to share his anger. Driftsong wasn't in the mood, so they tried to not get involved. They were just going to go and sip some of the rainwater from moss, that was it, if anybody asked him to do something? So be it, but he was hoping to be left alone. Stars know he needs a day of rest. Barely out of apprenticehood and already being dragged through metaphorical thorns.

The warrior's voices followed you outside, until they were faint enough to not be heard clearly through the brambles. The camp was rather empty, besides a few warriors and little Wrenpaw over by the deputy, looking for something to do. He was the only apprentice in the clan, after Lightpaw died and you became a warrior. The kits were rough housing, oblivious to the turmoil the clan was subjected to, while their mother watched absently from the nursery.

The fresh-kill pile was small, so the deputy would probably be sending out hunting parties next. Mud slowly formed in the dirt as puddles pooled in the grass. Your paws felt wet standing there, squishing into the mushy ground. There was a worm wriggling in front of you.

Driftsong sighed, at least the kits were having fun. But poor Wrenpaw. He almost felt bad about becoming a warrior, leaving him alone... He didn't even want to think about it....

He looked down at the fresh-kill, or lack of thereof... Well, they could wait to eat. They didn't mind... There were others that needed to eat more than him. He looked at the worm in the mud, helplessly wriggling. "Sorry, little one, don't get squished..." He muttered before glancing around, making sure nobody else was watching, and gently picking up the worm in their jaws, bringing it to edge of the camp before letting into the pooling mud there. What was the point of leaving the little thing to die? It did nothing wrong.

He began to drag himself over to the middle of camp, prepared to be sent out for a patrol sooner rather than later.

Golddusk's voice rang clear as you got nearer, giving out orders. "Spottedeye. Take Frostheart and Ravenberry on a hunting patrol. When you get back, Frostheart, take Morningfur and Driftsong on a border patrol toward the Pale Oak." He instructed, flicking his tail. The deputy never seemed to disappoint when it came to being direct. Wrenpaw, sitting beside his mentor, was restless, swishing his tail and stomping his paws, only to be told he'd be collecting moss and brambles for the dens.

Citrineflame found a spot and settled beside you. She always found a way to see the light in even the darkest situation. "Your paws look wet. Have you been treading in puddles?" She teased, with wet paws of her own.

Driftsong listened intently. Well, they wouldn't be on a patrol for a bit. That was probably the best thing that could have happened. Oh, but a border patrol. He prayed to stars above that they wouldn't run into anyone else, however realized they should save the prayers for the actual patrol.

Speaking of running into others. His tired and blank expression turned to a small smile, "Oh, and you don't look like you've been rolling in them." He teased back, splashing the dirty water below towards Citrineflame playfully.

"Hey!" She gasped, purring. She sighed. "Rude."

The hunting patrol dispersed, and the apprentice trotted alongside his mentor after them. They'd likely stay near camp, unless they had to stray further.

"And to think I was going to ask if you wanted to go berry hunting." She huffed next to you, flicking her ears.

He rolled their eyes, giggling. "Oh, that sounds like such a terrible idea!" He purred sarcastically, raising his paw to his chest as if he were some snobby kittypet, appalled by the thought of getting his paws dirty!

The she-cat rolled her eyes before speaking up in a more serious manner. "I heard Stormriver's in the medicine den." She looked toward it. "I hope he's okay..."

The kits tumbled and rolled, chasing each other around camp in a game of tag. A warrior batted at them when they ran into them, with sheathed claws, of course. The warriors that hadn't been called out for patrols went off on their own, while the deputy padded off to the leader's den. The only elder in the clan, Darkflower, was dragging her paws along as she moved toward the medicine den. Their joints had been causing her issues lately. Aside from the border confrontations, things had been relatively calm. It was still unclear whether it was a good thing, or if there was something more to it, like if one of the other clans were planning something.

The clan, however, was still on high alert. Especially with MuleClan's raid on HeatherClan three moons ago.

"yea, but I'm sure it will be fine..." He said quietly, hope of a hope than a fact. Driftsong rolled his eyes and snorted at the kits shenanigans, and the reaction of the warrior. He turned his gaze to the lone elder, sympathy sweeping over him. "one moment." He stated simply, standing and walking over to Darkflower. They rested their tail on her flank. "Here, let me help you to the medicine den." He allowed the elder to put her weight on him as they slowly walked towards the medicine den. This wouldn't take too long, hopefully still enough time to berry hunt before his patrol.

The elder muttered her thanks as you walked her to the den. Slipping inside, the medicine cat was hard at work, changing the cobweb dressing covering Stormriver's still-open wounds. Skydapple watched from the opposite side of the den. He'd twisted his paw while out on patrol, but there was news that he'd be back on his feet any day now. Wintereyes' ears flicked, signaling her acknowledgement of the entrance.

Darkflower settled in an empty nest lined with bird feathers.

Driftsong nodded, internally wishing the cats in here well, before he turned to exit back into the rain. He quickened his pace towards Citrineflame, the patience he had with the elder beginning to run thin as he went faster and faster. He loved Darkflower as he would any other cat, but they could feel the energy built up in their paws from the slow walk escaping, and he loved it. He stopped himself right before he crashed into Citrineflame, smiling.

The she-cat watched as you skidded to a halt just before her. She rose to her paws. "You're just full of energy, aren't you?" She commented. "C'mon, the hunting patrol won't take forever." She flicked your nose with her tail as she spun around, facing the camp entrance. "Race you to the old fox den." Citirneflame challenged, taking off.

He laughed, paws flexing in place as they waited, then watched as Citrineflame took off.

Driftsong bolted right after her, paws stretching out as far as they could go before plummeting and striking the ground below. He ran and ran, claws dulling wildly as they dug into the rocks and dirt, tail lashing around for balance. He laughed and smiled, feeling the wind against his face. This was how it should always be.

It wasn't very hard to gain ground on Citrineflame. She wasn't slow, but she definitely wasn't the fastest cat in the clan. The pair of you raced out of camp, straight into the territory with tall pines, pinecones and needles littering the forest floor. It was easy to forget how beautiful it was when faced with threats around every corner. Citrineflame, only a mouse-length in front of you, stumbled slightly, but was quick to rebalance herself. Though, you were still able to get ahead of her.

You were able to find your way to the abandoned fox den with no issue, Citirneflame hard on your tail before skidding to a halt, stopping beside her, panting. The old den had fallen apart, though the entry way was still visible. The escape exit was somewhere around here. Really, it was no wonder why the fox left, with all the commotion nowadays.
