mhiahia Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 The aim of this challenge is to reach home island whilst keeping home island immunity. At least one of the nichelings arriving on home island must have an ancestry completely devoid of inbreeding. Basically your nicheling's family tree must be a straight line down from Adam right to your nicheling. It is advised that you use a family tree in order to track your nicheling's ancestry. If you wanna do it online, I can recommend FamilyEcho on browser, or MyFamilyTree as a downloadable program. The rules are simple: 1. Play in Story Mode. 2. Return to home island with a tribe containing at least one nicheling whose lineage does not contain any inbreeding. (Optional: For increased difficulty, this nicheling must also carry home island immunity). 3. Your tribe must always keep Home Island Immunity. Optional goals: 1. Unlock all genes. 2. After reaching home island, try to survive as long as possible. Note that inbreeding isn't completely forbidden. You can, if you want to, keep a second branch of the family where inbreeding is allowed. There's pros and cons to this - inbreeding allows for better control of your nichelings genome, and you will always have "support" nichelings that you can use for fighting, protecting, etc. The downside is that you will need to keep real good track of who is related to who. Because once inbreeding has happened, all nichelings descended from the inbred nicheling are considered inbred for all of time. You will never be able to return that lineage to a non-inbred state. I've done a test run in sandbox mode to see if a no-inbreeding run is even possible, and the test tribe is still going strong after ten generations, so I think with some luck/good planning it is doable! Here you can see the family tree of an inbreeding-free individual (made with FamilyEcho): And that of a partially inbred individual from the same save (note the duplicates - very helpful bc only inbred individuals have those in their family trees): 1 1
