The Eternal Bloodline

I was playing niche and found a savefile that was 1561 days in! This was my very first savefile. It's in story mode and I even still have the star gene!

After poking around, I still see that the Aspenwillow lineage is going strong, about 92 generations in. 

Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII is the nicheling with white fur and red eyes

Oregano is the blind nicheling with bright red fur

Needle is the brownish nicheling with the gills

 

 

From childhood, Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII has been told the tales of her sacred bloodline and the great feats of her family. When her mother sacrificed herself to help her escape from the mountains, Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII vowed to honor her mother by establishing a great and glorious kingdom in her honor.

 

 

Oregano is Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII's brother. He only came with Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII to get a position of power within the kingdom. He really likes Needle, but likes power and respect more.

 

 

Needle is "mates" with Oregano, but their relationship has had many ups and downs as they've tried to escape the mountains. Needle hopes to live a peaceful life, and have a loving family.

Another story retcon

Needle, Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII, and Oregano agreed to stick together, just until they knew for sure the island was safe.

A few days later, Needle gave birth to 2 children, Feather and Ash. Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII knew that Oregano was the father, but when she confronted him, he denied any relation to his children.

In case you couldn't tell, Feather is the teen with the white mane and Ash is the baby.

Ash turned to her father. “Am I a mistake?” She whimpered. Her brother flew away in disgust.

“What are you doing?” Needle hissed. “You’re traumatizing the children!"

You have your very first save around? That's impressive as heck, congrats!

[Raventhecringy]

Aspenwillow turned away in disgust. “The only reason I’m letting you live is for safety in numbers. Once I have some proper servants who aren’t half-blind, I’m exiling you all. You’re a disgrace to the bloodline.”

“The only disgrace to the bloodline is you.” Oregano retorted. “Especially after what happened with Copper."

Oh no. I was deleting my 1,475 niche screenshots to free up some storage space on my computer, but I accidently deleted all my screenshots for the story. I could draw the rest of the story out but if I did so, would I have to move this thread to the fanart section?

"That is no way to treat your queen." Aspenwillow the XXXXXXXXXII snarled. "Come with me Oregano. You're going to help me look for a suitable mate. Needle, don't you dare try to escape."

Aspenwillow and Oregano flew away. Needle, Feather and Ash immediately started plotting on how to escape the island. 

Meanwhile, after about half a day of scouring the island, Aspenwillow and Oregano had found a pair of regular nichelings.

"Hey, want to join our kingdom?" Aspenwillow called from the tree. The nichelings looked up in shock.

"Mela?" One of the nichelings said. "Why are you here on this wretched island?"

"I'm not Mela. I'm the great and glorious Aspenwillow the Ninety-second. Now join my kingdom and be my mate."

"Let's go Jay." The other nicheling hissed. "The Family is not here. This island only has false prophets."

"I'd stay here if I were you." Oregano interrupted. "Nobody disobeys The Queen and gets away with it."

I'm making up the story as I go and the little bit of story I do have planned out doesn't mesh with the original scene at all

The nichelings bolted. Oregano flew after them. They dives under the water and swam away as fast as they could. 

"Get them!" Aspenwillow exclaimed. "They need to be taught a lesson!" Oregano hesitated. He had heard them go into the water. Water and him did not mix.

"Aspenwillow, they're too far away. I'll never be able to catch them!" He replied. Besides, do you really want those whiny brats to be your servants?" Aspenwillow paused for a moment.

"Fine. But you had better find me a better consort. You can't possibly be that useless." 

Oregano winced. He was proud yet ashamed. His #1 priority now was to find a consort for the queen. And given how the last encounter went, this was going to be a long and painful quest.

“They’re gone. We can go back to the mountains!” Needle said.

“But I thought the mountains were a horrible place that’s cold all the time.” Ash replied.

“You deserve a better father than that wretched rogue. In the mountains, I know all the good places.” They flew into the sky and headed west. Over the next day, they kept flying, only stopping to eat or sleep. Thankfully, Aspenwillow and Oregano were nowhere to be seen.

Needle, Feather and Ash kept flying. However, there was not a speck of land to be seen. Feather and Ash were begining to lose faith in Needle.

"Let's just go back." Ash said. "At least back there we were fed and safe."

"No." Needle replied. "I refuse to let you two grow up with those scumbags."

A while later, Needle said "look! I see an island!" They landed on the island. 

"Is this the mountains you were talking about?" Ash asked. "What do they look like?"

"This island isn't the mountain I was talking about. It's too flat, too meadowy." Needle replied. "In fact, this island looks just like the island we escaped from." 

"Mom, this is the island we escaped from," Feather exclaimed. "Aspenwillow and Oregano are coming!"

"Aspenwillow is right." Oregano agreed. "You should've been clearing grass and gathering berries."

"Go jump in a lake," Needle retorted. "Did you ever love me? Or did you just keep me around for your own pleasure?"

"You whiny brat! I fought so hard for us to escape the mountains? And as soon as I try to do my job, you abandon me!"

"You refused the acknowledge the children you WILLINGLY had with me. What kind of awful mate does that?"

"Oh my god! For the ancestors' sake shut up!" Aspenwillow groaned. "Needle, Oregano, as queen, I order you two to go resolve your stupid relationship problems somewhere else, right now. I will explode if I have to listen to your bickering for another moment!"

Aspenwillow, Feather and Ash backed away to give Needle and Oregano some space.

"We're done." Needle said. "You clearly don't love me anymore."

Oregano got closer to Needle.

"Oh Needle, you've always been so impulsive. Yelling at me. Saying we're done. I know you're mental state is not the best, but I still love you."

"You said the exact same thing when you had that threesome with Copper." Needle snarled.

"You can't just end this relationship!" Copper exclaimed. "I've done so much for you! Are you seriously that selfish?" Seeing this argument was going nowhere, Needle walked away. 

"Feather, Ash! Come with me!" She called. Oregano grabbed Needle by the shoulder.

"The children are mine." Oregano hissed.

"Finally acknowledging your offspring? Oh wow. How exciting. But you disowned them both because Ash was blind. So I should have custody of them."

Oregano shoved Needle to the ground.

"My god Needle, you're so selfish. Screaming about how awful I am when I'm merely trying to do my job and serve the queen."

"LIAR!" Ash and Feather screamed as Aspenwillow restrained them.

Needle started to back away.

"If you can't handle me, then get off this island!" Oregano growled. Needle ran away.

She flew into the trees. After so long, she had finally separated herself and Oregano. Needle remembered when she had first met him. She had been in the cold, cold seas of the mountains, desperate to scrounge some food. Oregano came up to her and offered her a fish. Needle had hastily accepted it. Before she could respond, Oregano had ran back to his family group.

Needle wondered how Feather and Ash were doing. There was no way she could go back and take them herself. Needle would just have to wait for them to run away.

Exhausted, Needle fell asleep. But her dreams offered little respite from her predicament. She opened her eyes and she was back in the mountains. A figure that looked similar to Oregano stood in front of her, beckoning her to come closer to the edge of the island.

"Come with me." He said. "We don't have to put up with those close minded idiots. We can escape these wretched mountains and be together, forever."

"No!" Needle screeched. "This isn't real! It's just a dream!"

"Needle, you want to escape the mountains. You long to. You'll do it, for me."

"No!" Needle tried to run, to move, but she was stuck.

"You want to escape the mountains." Oregano said. "You really do. Well, unless you're selfish and like the pain and ostracization."

The world distorted. Fragments of Oregano floated around Needle, screaming about how she was elfish, and how she really wanted to be with Oregano. She woke up in a panic. Another strange being made of starlight hovered over her. She was twice as big as Needle.

"Don't be afraid." The being said. "I understand your pain."

[Raventhecringy]

"Who are you?" Needle hissed.

"I'm Mela, the goddess of time."

"T-that's great. But why why are you bothering me?"

"Well I want to make a deal with you." Needle glared at Mela.

"And how do I know you won't betray me?"

Mela sighed. "You do realize I am the goddess of TIME. I can fix the timeline, let you have a second chance at life, but only if you'll do what I say."

Needle froze in fear.

"I-I, can you give me a day to think it over?" 

"Fine. But only one day, no more." Mela floated away.

Meanwhile, Feather and Ash wretched themselves free of Aspenwillow's grip 

"You’re a jerk, and Oregano is not our father. We're going to find mom, and you can't stop us.” Feather exclaimed.

"Why should I care what happens to you two?" Aspenwillow scoffed. "You're just the collateral of an accident. Go, and don't you dare come back."
