You could set yourself a tribe size limit, that you could change during game (if you watch Niche: Whims of fate, you know why this is needed). When your tribe is full, you can't invite wanderers. You can have your nichelings mate, but no babies will be born before there's room in the tribe. If you have multiple females on nest, but not enough room in the tribe for all of the babies, the females with he highest rank will give birth first. If you have too many females of the highest rank, the oldest ones give birth first. You can't set the tribe limit smaller than your tribe is. You'll need to get rid of your extra creatures before making the limit smaller.

@Philo What about wanderers? Can you invite them in if the tribe is at the limit?

Also, I agree with Lilytuft; it should just not let twins be born if having twins would exceed the tribe limit.

Ok, we're implementing right now that you can't have twins if they would exceed the limit.

OH lordy, this is so cool (Whims of Fate will be so simple now lol)

I'm so sad I can't play Niche xDD

Can't wait for the update though! It's gonna be so AWEOMSEEEEEEEE
