Did Not Receive Melanism Achievement

*Running Niche Version 1.1.4*

So, a few days ago I started a new save file in order to see if I could complete any of the pattern achievements, and, while I managed to breed this little melanistic child, I did not receive the Melanism achievement.  I was connected to both Steam and the internet while playing.

I have attached the particular save file this child exists in just in case that's needed

Have you tried to restart the game?
Did you end up getting the achievement after some time?

Unfortunately, no.  I have tried restarting multiple times without a result, and after waiting a couple of weeks and then opening the save again, it has yet to award me the achievement.

I finally managed to get the achievement to go through, though it took me breeding a different melanistic child on a different game save in order to get it.  I have no idea if the same could be done with the other save, or if this had to do with the particular combination of other genes it had.
