i had this idea that if your creature stayed too long in the cold/heat (maybe 3 turns) they would start taking damage, but it would only happen to very thick furred creatures and fur-less creatures (hence my idea for a new fur-less fur, like the sphynx cat), or only happen with creatures of +5 resistance to the opposite element. i think this is a pretty neat idea and maybe would raise the stakes up a bit more from just energy loss.
