In the graphics options, there should be a setting to limit the max frames per seconds that are getting rendered. Nimbatus isn't very taxing on the hardware, which is why it's rendered at >300fps for me - way above the 144fps my monitor can handle. I'm not even sure I need 144fps in this game, but anyway: rendering at >300fps is just wasting energy and creating heat for nothing.
