Spacestar TheThundersuncat Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Aside from the bug that rogue males get stuck in the water by themselves or if a female leads them there... This little one almost died digging up worms. Digging up worms may not be a bug, but it damages wanderers regularly. Should this be fixed? 4
bostonlobstah Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I had to rescue a child from drowning in the archipelago once...it's so weird. I tend to release nichelings on their last day to conserve food but they always go into the ocean and drown themselves 1 2
Spacestar TheThundersuncat Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 @bostonlobstah That is the saddest thing I've heard all week. When they scuttle off, never to be seen again... @Philo, is there any chance that might be fixed? 3
Philo Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I think we maybe should add a fear for water tiles ^^? Then they would only go in if they're super desperate 5 2
Goggles-kun Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 One time my friendly bearyena kept going into deep water and we had to corral him back onto land. It was a waste of time for me, BUT I NEEDED THOSE EDGE-LORD GENES! Also, 11 hours ago, bostonlobstah said: they always go into the ocean and drown themselves A moment of silence for all those creatures that drowned themselves on their last day. In the savanna we CAN'T drown! Ha! Amateur! 4
Jojo Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 I noticed that too. With wanderers and rogues, I don't mind it that much when rogues do it though ^^ 3

bostonlobstah Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 RIP ;-; I've got some evidence for yall (ellie is not the one drowning fyi. It's an elder named Gary.) Here's Lemoni in his old age reflecting on his life in the bottom of the ocean rip old man :,( 1 1
Jojo Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Just remebered that I had this screenshot. It isn't only Nichelings, but balance bears as well 4 1 1

Philo Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Thanks for reporting this folks! @Micha and me looked into it today. The problem is surprisingly complex ^^' To fix the problem entirely, we would need to rework the path finding in the game quite a bit, which can lead to a variety of new problems. So for now, we tried to come up with some small patches which hopefully prevent the drowning in most, but definetly not all cases. This fix will be in the next update! 1 5
