Suggestion

Blocks that add temporary yet good benefits at the cost of lots of energy or a debuff. For example, a cloaking device that uses lots of energy to hide you from enemies for a short while, or a sort of "rage mode" which increases damage dealt, decreases energy cost of weapons and decreases energy usage of weapons, but shields are disabled and your weapons are firing for the entire duration of the enragment. You can also damage drone parts that are not attatched to you. Afterwards maybe a temporary weakness debuff. Another thing could be a "hypergate" block that allows you to make portals between two locations on the map for drones to go through, but actively uses energy to sustain from the maker drone. Or maybe a "lightspeed" block that uses lots of energy to speed you up massively and stabilize your motion. a "stasis" block that slows things down outside of a radius around it, making your drone fast in a world of slow projectiles and enemies for the cost of insane amounts of energy.

Pretty interesting, although it would be too easy to cheat by spamming baterries from a factory (batteries & fuel tanks spawn full from factories)

True, but that's part of the strategy of the game. I imagine such a setup would take up alotta space, ortake a long time to recharge, time or space better spent filling it with recharging batteries, especially if the cloaking or other buffs increased in energy consumption the bigger your drone is

Not really.  A factory making a single big fuel cell (The big-storage one, without recharge) that outputs when it's empty.  That output triggers a detach, a logic part that delays one second, then rebuilds the tank.  Huh.  It would only ever have to rebuild the one part.

Eh, that sounds like quite imbalanced feature (of course Nimbatus doesn't really go for balance it seems). So a spaceship could use a factory (or more if needed) to create those single use energy capacitors (the ones with 4? 8? times the energy capacity of regular 2x2 energy reactor with no energy generation) and use those for all of the ships energy needs. Maybe that should be ... fixed... Imo: Factory created fuel cells & energy capacitors should start empty and they would need to be filled by 'natural' energy/fuel recharge mechanisms. I guess it would break many drones out there though, but anyways, the feature doesn't sound balanced to my ear.

Try to be fair though; balance isn't fully implemented, so there are going to be things that still aren't balanced.

I do agree that energy and fuel should be factory-built empty, and either recharge from their parent fuel/energy cells before detaching, or be forced to generate their own energy/fuel.
