Galaxy progression

I'm on galaxy number 6 and I'm starting to wonder if there's any type of change to look forward to? I'm getting all the same handful of missions / planet types, but I haven't seen any of the green resource yet. Speaking of which, I haven't seen anywhere to use the green resource yet, is this a place holder? I've seen tips suggesting to avoid the pirates, but I haven't seen any yet outside of the testing grounds. Have I just not plowed through enough galaxies yet?

At the moment, the game is still very sandboxy, so there isn't really much of a progression from galaxy from galaxy, apart from there being more lava planets in the second galaxy. This is however one of the aspects we want to focus on during early access. That will include implementing new missions, planet types and factions, like the space-pirates, which are currently not not in the game, same with the green resource, which will be implemented with one of the next updates.

That's cool  I wasn't sure how far developed the game is at this point, since it just hit open beta. I'm looking forward to how things develop!
