I've experienced it first hand, as I'm sure all of you have, painfully enough. Your day is just starting, and you move to select something toward the top of the screen; or maybe you still have another game's controls on your mind and you automatically bump the spacebar. Now all your nechelings are a day older and your down another day's worth of food. I think there ought to be a message that pops up when you try to advance when you have unspent actions. something like: "Some of your nechelings have actions. Are you sure you want to end the day?"
