Spacestar TheThundersuncat
As a jungle gene, adding speed in that eviroment would be useful. As it is, you have to clear certain tiles to move a nicheling on them. Velvet paw could forego that, allowing free movement through the underbrush. In Cold Biomes, it could allow you to walk on Snow. 1 tile for one velvet paw, 3 for a full set.
0 Bill Nye the Science Fry
I think 2 is a little overpowered, maybe 1 tile for one paw and 3 tiles for a set?

I can see how this would be problematic on a larger scale. 1)Assuming that +3 for a full set is independent of actual speed and you need at least three cold resistance, strenght would max out at 7 or 6. 2) Standard built with one running leg/Velvet paw: 9 or 8. 3) No velvet paw: 12 or 11. So you sacrifice about half of your attack for speed. 2) is mainly for big game, then. I can see this work. Bearyena hindlegs on the wrong animals would get messy, though. Keeping two lines would be more efficient, but can get annoying. Or one doesn't hunt balance bears, goes for the digging trunk and sits on 4/5 attack. Is this balanced, then, in your opinion? I am sorry if the outlining is annoying, but not seeing the impact of stats seems the cause of quite some overpowered suggestions.
