What if there was a mode called Farming Mode, and the Swap nichelings with other players idea is needed for this to reach full potential, though it's not required.
Basically most of the genes are unlocked and there is no mutation menu. The starting creatures are somewhat customizable (or there would be different starters to pick from.)
You have a personal goal to create a specific variety of nicheling. You breed your nichelings in groups and either keep, 'sell' (swap with other players for food,) or 'cull' (delete) the nichelings. You must strive to have the purest line and if you achieve your set goal, another gene is unlocked or something maybe??
