Here’s a challenge for artists:

Open up your art program, and draw something! But here’s the catch: you’re only allowed to use one brush. (Or whatever some people call it nowadays.) The eraser tool doesn’t count, nor does the type of brush you use if you want to sign it.

I tried it myself, and this was the result:

I only used the brush “Turpentine”.

Your turn!

What if I’m a sprite artist, so I don’t even use the brush tool?

:P

Or does switching between shape tool, pencil and other various select tools count?

What I mean is, you can’t do things like: “Oh, I was using this normal tool, and now I wanna use the brush tool >:D”

I see what you mean now XD

I have some mediocre sprites, but I can’t do actual full scale art. That’s not to say I’m bad at what I do. It comes in handy for making sprites for games and so forth, so it’s a good skill to have.

Pixel art may not be demanding in the sense of labor, but it's very demanding in the sense of judgment and nuance.  Making one black pixel on a leg represent a convincing gun is not an easy task, and requires you to create a coherent picture, where every pixel shades the others with meaning.

I've tried it once or twice, when I tried making custom build-menu buttons for a mod team working on Supreme Commander.  I'm terrible at it.
