Namely, the magnet on the left in the following pictures is pushed farther away from the others when having the same orientation as them. It does not show such behaviour when flipped 90, 180 or 270°. I use a sumo drone (which has bilateral symmetry) that is programmed to charge forward and then turn on repelling magnets soon after collision. The repulsion field almost always causes my drone to turn clockwise after colliding with a drone of comparable mass.
