bostonlobstah
I'm going to start with my least embarrassing sandbox tribe (even though it's still pretty embarrassing!). They are getting ready for a jungle gate adventure Just look at those foreboding bones...doesn't help that there are only 5 port tiles. >:c And here's this wayward, outcast pair that idk why they are still in my tribe. oH a cHiLd o_O Wanderers Everywhere! (I released so many tribe members ;-;) Yeah, you dirty Rogue. Go drown yourself!! *hello darkness my old friendddddd....* QmQ Oh look, who's that? OH HE HAS A SCORPION TAIL YESS AND HIS FERTILITY DOESN"T SUCKKK!!!! Plz get in my life Mr. Dapper (It is a tradition to name all C Pattern Mask Derpsnout Males "Dapper." Doesn't he look like a narcissist tho?) I decided to release my little outcast fam. Here they are, communing with a sickly one-winged child that I bred and then released. Just Look at him tho. He is thanking StarClan that he's no longer a part of my stupid and pathetic tribe Oh look a son!!! With BEAK!!! And STINKY TAIL YUSSSS crap. he's blind. WHy That's it 4 now
bostonlobstah
Okay I'm going to introduce you to a new challenge I made up (I think) It's called: The Wanderer Challenge! Basically you can only have ONE adult Nicheling in the tribe (With some rare exceptions and if I you're desperate. Yeah I'm a rule breaker), preferably Female. The female is only allowed to breed with other wanderers WITHOUT inviting them into the tribe (again, exceptions because I hate strict rules. You can be strict tho to make it more exciting) You must pick a single female from the wanderer's children to become the next Heiress that you will be playing. Once the Heiress is fully grown, the mother must be released. All children who are not Heiresses must also be released ASAP. I allow mutation menus, but to make it even harder, you can have mutations be illegal. Also you can do it on any island, but I did mine on peaceful meadow because I didn't know how this challenge would work and wanted to make it simple as possible. So basically, try to survive playing a wanderer for as long as possible. Unfortunately I started it a bit too early to post it here from the start so I'll just show where I am now. Here's where I started pic-taking. This stinky and fluffy girl caught sickness from her mother and didn't live as long. But I still loaf (ha! LOAF! bread? get it?) her a lot. Her yellow brother was released once Stinky Yellow was grown up (I forget her actual name, unfortunately) Stinky Yellow meets her...uh IDK what relation he is to her honestly. (I don't think it's her dad. Her dad was a yellow poison fanged guy.) Stinky Yellow grew up and found a young wanderer with antlers and...frog legs apparently, since Siraana here (I'll call her Stinky Spots coz that's easier to remember) was born with the frog legs. Stinky Yellow's first 2 children were males, but she kept them long enough to fight off a mama bearyena. Unfortunately, Stinky Yellow died from the attack. Stinky Spots grew up and bred with her compatible-immunity brother and had Stinky Beige. Then she had a child with the friendly Bearyena, who I'll call Baby Bear. I don't know who should carry on the line now! Baby Bear has better strength and fertility (but still quite low), and both of them have normal hindlegs and 2 fertility in the mutation menu. But Stinky Beige is just sooo cute and fluffy....but I think I'll still go with Baby Bear. She has more potential I feel like. (also sorry I didn't take pics in this 20+ day time span; I was too distracted by all the mayhem.) Stinky Beige and her promising little half-sister, Baby Bear.
bostonlobstah
Alright. Next we explore my VERY LARGE and INSANE ALL BIRB TRIBE It's also pretty successful with the most food. 700+ food! WOOOO (ikr not a ton still ;-; ) ok. I present to you.....THE FARSEA FEATHERS TRIBE!!!!!!!!! They started on whale island where wings were unlocked almost instantly. They have since traversed the archipelago. The tribe is almost ready to leave the archipelago. Just look at the creature count and you'll understand why. LOOK. Here's some dopplegangers Almost ready to ship off. We just need 2 more! They are still chirren and far away so a bit slow. COME ON YOU GUYSSSS! Meanwhile, Fishing Tail and some other helpful genes have been unlocked. OHMYGOSH this scorpion tailed child is COMING TOOOOO I shall name her Magic cause that's what she is to me!!! Reminds me of a past winged nicheling, who was a toxic yellow cracker jaw with gray spots, big ears and scorpion tail. Her name was Zest ;-; Someone's getting the boot off of the ports lol yup, poor Frost got the boot. Sorry, blue man. Everyone's pregnant and on the ports and we have a lot of food. We're ready to go now! On the ports are Strawberry, Mousse, Saara, Cocky, Tangerine, Snow, Leaf, Mars, and Magic. Saying our final goodbyes to Ocean and Electric's little fam... And these lonely guys and their wandering friend.... hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... QmQ ummmmm,,,, okay i guess... I guess that means IT'S BABY TIME!!!! TBC in the next post! (I had a longer playthrough today)
bostonlobstah
Thanks to our youngins being slowpokes, everyone is old. Time for a baby boom! Strawberry, the pink nicheling and Leaf, the purr-snout plop on the nests first. Then Mousse, the stinky red one, Saara, the stinky red spotted one, and Lark, the brown spotted one, do the same. Hopefully their next generation shall move on to the next ports. We won't stay here for long. Lots of kiddos!! Yay! Wait. Magic, your child. Is that.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY PRECIOUS ANGEL U SHALL BE THE QUEEN AND U HAVE AUTO-JOINED THE PANTHEON WITH PASTELLE AND FONDUE RIP fsdkbealgeiudehsivt AAAAAAAAAA I'm so sorry just look at her!!! Somewhere around here, we defeat a single bearyena (no one is hurt) and invite a random useless wanderer into the tribe (I end up drowning him). No pics, unfortunately... Okay. Here goes my little second gen...this time we didn't wait for no slowpokes! Sorry, baby Scorp. Tangerine stares longingly for her final goodbye. At least her daughter Rosebud and her mate Snow are staying with her. Ofc Spirit is up front. Pastelle II is the pink one, the great-granddaughter of the original Pastelle, who was my fave. The only purr-snouted child of the only purr-snout is also required to come. Her name's bloodred cause she looks like the devil. Magic is coming too, being young and pregnant. Some other nichlings tagging along are Windy, Isabella, Robin, Ruffien, and Bear. Spirit's pre-selected scorpion mate Spicey leads the way to this tribe's 4th island total. Ahhh, much better! TBC. (like I said, long session)
bostonlobstah
Okay. Part 3. Settling down--yet again. Some children are being born. Aka, A LOT of children are being born. Even though there's no rush whatsoever this time. I told y'all, I'm a Bread-Happy person. This guy showed up. He has recessive poison fangs, which I can never find. Into the tribe you go, buddy! He takes Isabella, daughter of the beloved Mousse, as his bride. Your genes don't suck so you get double wings in the mutation menu! No cracker jaws joined us on our adventure to this new island. Good thing it's unlocked. Now we have an heiress to this lovely oak tree. Her name is Acorn. Do you see her? Oh look, who's that cute and spiky wanderer? She looks like she could be related to that other guy we found. Too bad her genes totally suck. See for yourself. Deal breaker. x_x Actually, I changed my mind. Being the kind and loving person that I am, I decided that Rako deserves a place in the tribe alongside her 'brother,' even if her name and her genes are both terrible. Here they are, having a spiky family reunion. Also, look at our smelling on the beak side vs the big nose side. Pathetic. What's this? Pastelle the Second has TWINS? YASSSS I shall name them...Rolfe and Vivien Also, we finally have our first Poison Fanged nicheling! WOOOO! Way to go, Mister wanderer! (Also, way to go, beaks! I love how recessive they are XD) (As I say this I realize how useless poison fangs are when combined with double wings) That's it for now. More updates will be coming soon!
Lilytuft
Rako alone isn't that bad, but combined with Ana- Anarako. And Rako means gap in Finnish...

bostonlobstah
Next, my Very (and I mean VERY) Large tribe that is mainly for pleasure and relaxation than actual survival (Well, none of my tribes are facing harsh conditions at the moment...but you know what I mean). This was my first tribe ever and since I have used the console to give myself food (I only did this once, mind you!) I consider this tribe officially NOT a survival tribe. Instead, the purpose of this tribe is focused around breeding breading and meeting specific breading goals. That is why I have 60 tribe members. I currently am trying to develop 3 'breads.' (And am thinking of doing a fourth, but I need to unlock Purr Snout.) My biggest group is my Clam bloodline, descended from my first platypus beak. I am working towards a platypus-beaked, big bodied nicheling with a combination of claw, digging paw and/or nimble fingers, in solid colors of white, pink, light yellow, and gray, and either fluffy or peacock tails. And they may even have purple eyes! My second line, the Melon Line, is the oldest distinct line. Its founder, Melon, was the result of breading short snout into a tribe of derp snouts and cracker jaws. She has red/beige fur with gray spots, double nimble fingers and blue eyes. Now the best specimens of her line would have short snout, blue eyes, double nimble fingers, D pattern panda mask or spots of any density or size, and fur in fruity colors such as pinks, oranges, yellows, beiges and reds. My third line is my newest project (it doesn't have a name yet), though the descendants of this line go pretty far back. This line is the most varied, coming in a wide range of colors, but they all have peacock tail, spots, and big nose or bearyena snout. And they typically have at least one claw or digging paw. The descendants also typically had low fertility, but that won't be a part of the line because it will get in the way of the bread. If I remember correctly, this line originated from a double-clawed, scorpion tailed wanderer with sucky fertility that I found a while back. He had a beaked son, and then I decided that this beaked kid needed to sire the next generation. So he had tons of kids with peacock females, and that resulted in the birth of this low-fertility line. My playthroughs with this tribe will mostly be pics of my progress with these 3 lines and the lines in the future. Clam Bloodline: RIP Perl ;-; This one isn't from the Clam Line directly but she's going to be used anyway. I love her little gray hat! Melon Line: Why are the cutest ones always sickly!? >:c And my third line. I think I will call it the Dodo Line, or the Fynch Line, after my main breeders. Look at my huge light yellow man that I named Bright Star! He's ridiculously slow but super strong! His bright yellow dad's tail can be seen in the background. His name is Pop. And his mother is the gray one, her name is Raine. Hmmmm...I spy a doppleganger! Some pics of the lines from the past. Can you pick out which lines they belong to?

Yeah, the coolest nichlings are either sick, infertile, etc Reminds me of this guy, descended from my third line, notorious for the infertility gene being passed around. I thought he was so cool ;-;

I also forgot to mention that Annini was kind of a mistake, because I accidentally bred a mother with her son (hey, he looked pretty similar to his father, okay?), and the result was Annini. And she looked so cool! At least she found a sick wandering mate and had two healthy children before they both died.
bostonlobstah
Okay, now we are back to the Wanderer Challenge! After playing it for many days, I have declared this challenge a success! The wanderers may end up taking on a new lifestyle now that the challenge's test run is over. Baby Bear now has a derp snouted son. ...And now a daughter. Looks like this one's the keeper. I love her coloring! Whoddat?? Awwww! Oh look. the bearyena we just killed has a BABY! What a cute child! (I can't remember if the yellow kid was the dad or not, but I think it was actually the brown guy) Who the heck are YOU!? And look at the next cute baby! Mother-daughter bonding. All grown up, with her mate and sickly son... AAAAA everyone is sick why I think she mated her brother....but oh who is this handsome fella? All alone and searching for love... We managed to find a big bodied derpy guy and now we welcome little Israana (Emerald) into the world! Here's Emerald meeting her boyfriend for the first time. Her father Nuta, her baby brother, and her mother's bones are all in the background. All of Emerald's descendants love living a loner's life. They toy with the wandering males, only to leave them and wander the island like rogue females. But Emerald is different. She wants a life where she can settle down and raise a family, and watch a tribe grow. But, Emerald is also no ordinary starter. Her genes aren't the best, and some may call her appearance ugly. Can her tribe be sustained when she has hardly anything to go off of? To Be Continued!
bostonlobstah
The Saga Continues! Emerald and her mate have settled down by the sea, and now they have their own little family! Someone just found the love of his life, swimming in the sea! And now she's expecting! Emerald and her little crippled daughter. Another seafaring wanderer has been found! Hello Kirkuta, welcome to the tribe! When a brother and sister have compatible immunity genes... The tribe grows! Rest in Peace, Emerald.
bostonlobstah
Now I will show thee my final tribe: My warriors tribe! No, unfortunately this isn't part of the 'warriors challenge' thing, I started this tribe before I heard about that. But eventually I plan on converting it into a real Warriors tribe. Right now, the only reason it's called a Warrior Tribe is because there is a Medicine Cat, a Leader and Deputy...and they have warrior names. But anyways.... Here is LarkClan! I'll show you Larkspur first, the daughter of the starters and sister to my beauty queen Feldspar. She founded LarkClan, and her nearly identical daughter Larkstar went on to become the second leader of the Clan. Here are some pictures showing the leaders of the Clan in order. and here is the child who will lead the Clan someday: See any similarities? Yeah. I think I've made it official: The Clan will always pick the nicheling with the closest resemblance to Larkspur as their next deputy. That is why everyone looks so strikingly similar. And a new rule: Every kit born that looks like Larkspur will automatically receive the prefix Lark-. Okay nothing super interesting is going on in the tribe so I'll just show some recent screenshots Get out of the way, bluebird! (And that's a friendly bearyena, don't worry!) Little Dovekit (Dovebreeze) is definitely at risk. Good thing her family is here to protect her. The Fire and Ice twins and their friend are all grown up and ready to explore! That's all I got ^^
bostonlobstah
Back to my Jungle Tribe! Getting ready to go to our first jungle. A new scorpion tailed daughter has been born! She will come along. There's that Rogue Male again. RIP, buddy. And we're off! I smell disaster... I don't have pics, but after this, a bearyena attacks and we clumsily kill it and get a little damage. We need to up our game!
Spacestar TheThundersuncat
That's not whale island, but the summer mountains. Bones and a skull, fewer ports... something cold, at least. Ironically, this is the only island I usually find apes on -- in the grassland. That cursed smelling ape, every time.
