Actually . . . I could use friendly fire in a few cases.  Instead of a heater, just direct a heat laser with zero damage into a high-HP part.  A self-destruct that can fully burn up a sub-drone without leaving behind heaters.  Right now, my ore-courier drone drops a heater subdrone into the hopper at game start, to cook off the returning ore couriers.

I think, however, that there are a lot of better ideas (like putting TNT on the workshop so that it can have adjustable range and fire effects) that can more effectively handle anything friendly fire is good for.

Healing could be useful, if auto-healing was turned way down.  Right now all I have to do is get away from damage, and I'm at 100%.

Parts detached from another through irregular means will be considered waste, thus targets to your weapons. Destroy the parent of a whole drone and it will let you shoot it as if it were enemy.

Pro tip: TNT destroys itself through dealing damage, so it counts!
