yeah honestly I just think my mekoko felt like murdering someone elses nichelings so she got an uber to your tribe and killed a load of them

4 creatures were killed: Two females were impregnated by a rogue male (I think it was the same one who impregnated Anaanala) and followed Mekoko into the grasses, thinking she would get them away from the swamp bugs. Thus, they went into the wilderness and had their babies, while Mekoko disappeared, never to be seen again.  The females were eaten by carnivorous plants, and then their sons were eaten by those same plants as a Big Nosed Ape made sure they didn't escape alive.

Moral: Mekoko is bad.

It is rumored among my tribes that Mekoko, Anaanala (goddess of the Swamp), and Jungli and Jungla (goddesses of the Jungle) are all sisters. Now that I think about it, maybe Oz is related to them somehow (he shared some of their genes)...

I just randomly decided to play this again

heather knew what was about to happen from the slight shaking of the goddess' paws, and she, used to being the leader and the most powerful one all her life, did not think anything of tulip's power. "goddess or not, I dont think the curse is going to spare you".

"what do you mean? I will be fine! curses are not permitted to-

ah. well then. never mind, I suppose that means this disguise is very good!"

20190412185317_1.thumb.jpg.56ea14bf12e561949b8693776511ff92.jpg20190412185739_1.thumb.jpg.34565dadd5ea6ed52db5e3335c1a6efc.jpg

soon everyone was reminded of the threat of the rogue male, and heather decided her new right-hand-nicheling should help her.

"so, all powerful goddess tulip, what should I do about this rogue male?" she acted like she had all the time in the world to let tulip decide on a fitting battle plan.

"well.. I suppose you should be attacking, since sage can heal you. unfortunately, the same cannot be said about sage being able to heal herself. however-"

"okay great plan tulip- CHARGE!"

one full-blown attack later, heather was under the tree with the other, being nursed back to health by her younger sister. in brighter news, the rogue male promptly left after putting a few spines in the leader's back.

20190412190510_1.thumb.jpg.89af0ab083f1dd410bf66206e48523b9.jpg

for the next few days the focus was put on gathering the nuts under the tree- it was a whole tribe effort, since nobody had the cracker jaw. blueberry was probably the most useful around then after she and maple brought an entire crabbit back for the tribe to eat.

when heather and her sister left to go hunting, everyone went to do their own thing. blueberry made a break for the shore, maple went running after his sister (because he knew the rogue male was somewhere in the water), rosemary and tulip sat together under the tree trying to get acorns to eat, and thorn followed in the shadows of heather, studying her every move to try and hunt something for himself. he could hear a rabbil, and that could not only feed him, but maybe impress the leader.

20190412191744_1.thumb.jpg.1643ef35bd57a819af00a35eb9b5fcb5.jpg

after a few harsh days (there was barely enough food to go around) tulip decided that in her old age she needed to finally have a child with rosemary. he was so dedicated to keeping the tribe fed, and his efforts meant they could all barely struggle past. she knew the child would be amazing in the tribe. she also decided it was time to share her godly wisdom with her mate, and his eyes widened as he heard about everything.

20190412192410_1.thumb.jpg.002a6a9114f20d656da1e814524b2def.jpg

by the morning, a tiny baby called twig was left in the nest for rosemary to care for. there was no way now food would be found, so the leader feared for his survival and many others'.

since sage had to be near the main tribe to heal their starvation damage, heather had chosen thorn to go with her to find more food. they had even managed to find a healing fruit!

20190412192956_1.thumb.jpg.c12540f453066c7f7c3bed1cd3ac6e25.jpg

in the morning, heather and thorn knew that a bearynea and it's child were near. it meant food; but also meant a battle was about to happen.

20190412193202_1.thumb.jpg.506c73d5253d999efcc21d79312fe5c9.jpg

meanwhile, blueberry had been spending her time with a wanderer, fishing in the stream. she knew she would probably be the first one to go, if the lack of food got the better of them all.

20190412193405_1.thumb.jpg.4ad48967b380042c4a27def78dffca3f.jpg

sadly, heather's confidence got the better of her in battle, and thorn was forced to flee. if he was ever to get back, he would find his brother, maple, dead too from starvation.

20190412193659_1.thumb.jpg.1bec78bf3701ca66a950f13635c0c11a.jpg20190412193748_1.thumb.jpg.083b07bd43c834d6201a28932ad449d5.jpg

sage was starting to lose hope in her sister's return, and knew she would have to breed soon to preserve the tribe and her purr snout. thorn was going to arrive back soon, though.

20190412193958_1.thumb.jpg.1933871604aa8360b1cf9808cb5128c4.jpg

almost all hope was lost when sage and twig's baby was born with no horns or cracker jaw. some creatures, like blueberry, were managing to hunt food to feed the remaining survivors. thorn had some hope, as he saw a wanderer nearby with some genes that could save them. they just needed enough food.

20190412194337_1.thumb.jpg.4121cb46bfbd90a08a8bc1321ab2632c.jpg

dahlia watched as her father fought a bearynea to his best ability. thorn had died whilst chasing the wanderer. she had almost no hope.

20190412194647_1.thumb.jpg.5ebee330dd55a742f980a20a7fa4a9e8.jpg

at this point, dahlia accepted her death, and probably the death of her rouge child. there was no food, her father had died, she was deathly sick and a bluebird taunted them from the skies.

20190412194858_1.thumb.jpg.e749f20702e4a40ab91478b3752dfd74.jpg

miraculously, glint had made it past his childhood. with the meat of a dead bearynea, he set out for a nearby healing plant. he had ten carefree days to find others and survive.

20190412195020_1.thumb.jpg.7fe60b0c8a3932765730604225c7ccc6.jpg

he found the healing plant, and settled down a bit. there was a stump to call for someone, which he could definitely use right about now.

20190412195312_1.thumb.jpg.f14d5e07790a4ad3b652de755ef4d6da.jpg

although he called a female, he ran out of food to invite her. I suppose she doesn't deserve the curse, he thought. after being chased by a bearynea into the middle of the island, he took his last breath. as he stared into the sky, he finally lost his remaining glint of hope.

but he did not die.

he somehow felt filled with power, and knew that this was the will of all his past friends and families, wanting him to survive.

he had to carry on.

20190412195505_1.thumb.jpg.2200a5cbfe4233e162c2d63562c5ac18.jpg

he tried to push himself forward, but as he heard the dying screams of that female, he lost that power. he died in that same spot, so scared to confront his tribe in the afterlife knowing that he failed them.

but the only creature he did see in the afterlife was the faint shadow of what could only be his grandmother, tulip. he ran after her, until she stopped him, and spoke.

"you dont have to see them. i'll let you go back down. one last time. maybe you can carry on and prove to them you're not a coward.

"o- okay. are you my gra-"

before he could finish, the faint and clouded world around them evaporated, and the next time he could see his own "paws" was when he was sat on a beach, somewhere he never knew, with only two gems.

"w-where am I?" the lost child asked to nobody.

Ayy what's the challenge rules or the original post?

there isn't an original post or challenge it's just a rule that you must console every creature in the tribe (wanderers included) to have no paws

im continuing this because I want to play niche idk

after some contemplation, glint realised that he had been sent back to the world to have one more shot at life. he thought it would be best to try and build a home for himself, and he found a nice spot under a tree.

20190416163828_1.thumb.jpg.a375d2ada5e603631c79b8aefde4527d.jpg

he left his home to do some hunting, and managed to chase one meal far into the grass and into a field of flowers before the bunny met its end.

20190416163934_1.thumb.jpg.9671de5c334c1f2950d6ec1970283574.jpg

when returning to his home he found a wandering female named sprout. she was startled by the curse when it affected her, but glint managed to comfort her. he was glad to see some king of horn back in the tribe.

20190416164146_1.thumb.jpg.6a3ec6304e87cf09102a6e9456393725.jpg

sprout was very pleased with her new home as there was so much pret to hunt, and glint also had the surprise of a peaceful bear. he decided to keep it around, as they needed defence.

20190416164358_1.thumb.jpg.1a4658efe7858723f8209c9aa8676a10.jpg

when food had ran dangerously low the couple decided they would need to have a child to survive. the first child born was bone, who the two loved, and then heather, who glint said was named after "nobody in particular" for his dying wish.

20190416164718_1.thumb.jpg.b3fa73648abdc342f66a3259fa66bccb.jpg20190416164813_1.thumb.jpg.9b5aff95353eebd51f5fad1008dbc8da.jpg

the two children found themselves lost and alone, with barely any life left. but heather could feed the two, so not all was lost- yet

20190416164937_1.thumb.jpg.1fcb30c32f363b48c356ad7b760aac98.jpg

after helping her sister to feed the two, bone had to say goodbye. all the wounds from her childhood were too much.

20190416165118_1.thumb.jpg.5b765861e33512d361453d53b2192df4.jpg

heather now had only one mouth to feed, and decided to try and find someone. she found a wanderer called silver.20190416165307_1.thumb.jpg.cae34aec7119d7b8365d5a7f2d836707.jpg

the two quickly had children named elk and bronze, and they found themselves alone at a very young age.

20190416165451_1.thumb.jpg.b861597bc320747845b75100fdf65dd9.jpg

they had to quickly resort to hunting, before bronze fell in love with a wanderer named apple.

20190416165715_1.thumb.jpg.ceaf9ab4c0b703d5ad9cb7f023d5d006.jpg

they had two daughters, dust and moose, before bronze and her twin died. moose was proving useful by destroying bushes, however.

20190416165944_1.thumb.jpg.d1c64952fe42d882fdff85079d74f304.jpg

the sisters grew up together under the same tree.
