Blind gene playthrough

Ever since watching Seri's Whims of Fate playthrough, I always wanted to do a blind gene challenge but never got around to doing it. But now that it's possible to do a blind gene sandbox in the new update (loving it so far!), I thought I'd finally give it a try! So here are the rules I set for myself...

1. Tribe size must be limited to a number between 2 and 30. This limit changes with the death of a leader.

2. I can assign a creature one mutation of my choice but the other one must be assigned by the random mutation generator (or the gods I suppose!).

3. Breeding with direct siblings is forbidden.

4. I must roll a dice to see which island I can escape to.

For this challenge, I have expanded my creatures childhoods (baby, child, and teen) to 11 days and their adulthoods to 45 days, giving me plenty of time to develop stories. Pregnancy is extended to 2 days.

We start on the Grass Mingle Island. Our tribe limit is 14 and we can escape to a jungle in the east.

My starting pair are named Red and Blue after their striking coats. Red is the more dominant one, a strong but big-hearted nicheling from a tribe of warriors and hunters. She left her tribe because she felt insecure about her webbed hind legs, which slowed her down during hunting. She is assigned normal hind legs by me and brown pattern by the gods.

Blue is in many ways the opposite of his mate. He is a laidback nicheling who attracted Red with his quirky sense of humour. His ideal day is spent resting next to a berry bush, preferably a poison one. I left his first slot open and the gods assigned no-pattern to his second slot.

20190310141448_1.thumb.jpg.e089d10f9064f68b44d4f1d01b7a42ec.jpg

This island has an abundance of berry bushes, the ideal place for any budding family to settle down by.

20190310141607_1.thumb.jpg.c295e6f7ca66a4107edede22b25fde65.jpg

Their first daughter, Vera, is an ideal mix of both of her parents. Still in their honeymoon phase, Red is pregnant with her second child almost imediately.

20190310142110_1.thumb.jpg.9fb52af87f247e3f976eae7d2a95d7ab.jpg

Vera is eager to explore the grasses. Blue is more than willing to let her do so, although Red insists that her daughter stays within their line of sight.

20190310142240_1.thumb.jpg.e20b447147d2336dd77f90b006eac834.jpg

Vera learns all too soon why you never go exploring alone. Banding together, Red, Blue and Vera defend Flamingo and the newborn twins (Fandango and Purple) and defeat the bearyena, who dies of poison while biting Vera. After tending to her daughter's wound, Red reminds Vera to always travel with a strong companion while she's out scouting.

20190310142446_1.thumb.jpg.e73c96f746f4561c850253e0e94092a1.jpg

Lucky for Vera, she finds a companion very quickly. The terrified young female introduces herself as Sirasi, revealing that her lone mother had been killed by a bearyena. Accepted by this band of castaways, she and Vera become fast friends.

20190310142616_1.thumb.jpg.77e529e8a7350f853e7d5c3bbc945c5e.jpg

This little guy is named Taffy.

20190310142713_1.thumb.jpg.484f4d2b6b46934e1564984d3cf2ad7d.jpg

Yet another Bearyena storms the camp. Red's natural instinct to protect her children kicks in but she feels another creature's breath down her neck. A defender bear. Her previous tribe had run into a lot of trouble with these bears, who seemed to hate violence no matter the reason or the creature commiting it. Blue, without a single point of attack to his name, urges his children to run. Red looks down at baby Taffy, who is barely able to walk. She must make her first tough decision as a leader. Run and risk leaving Taffy to the mercy of the bearyena or defend her children from the bearyena and risk the defender bear's wrath.

She prays to the gods for guidance. In other words, you get to decide what I do next!

Okay so I decided to try again! I decided to go easy on myself and start on the Peaceful Meadow. The Grass Mingle was infested with Rogue Males 😅 This time I'm writing a log to develop an in depth story. My tribe can escape to a grassland in the east.

20190311182412_1.thumb.jpg.8bbe8b8be977b1b22cfb5700bc9111ca.jpg

My new starting pair are pretty! The female is Castana and the male is Maron. Maron is the leader and as long as he's alive, the tribe can have 15 members.

Castana, being raised on the outskirts of her old tribe, has poor social skills and may appear abrasive to some. But she is a diligent gatherer with a generous heart. Maron, a skilled hunter, is greatful to have met someone as dedicated to their craft as he. I left her first mutation slot open and the gods assigned her no horn.

Maron is from a tribe of hunters and makes no secret of it. One of the most promising hunters in his previous tribe, he has a rather inflated sense of self, much to Castana’s disdain. However, he is loyal and hard-working, traits that Castana values a lot. However, his family carries a dark secret that may rear its head in the future. I assigned him runner leg and the gods assigned him hemophilia.

Castana and Maron stumble across a nest on their. Although Castana wants to settle down by an oak tree, Maron tells her that the nearest tree is a long way away. After some bickering, Castana decides that it will do for now and prepares to have her first child.

20190311183838_1.thumb.jpg.12a403a8c4bbb8057c3603dc67db6090.jpg

With his mate occupied, Maron decides to set off and do some hunting. Although he is loud and extroverted around his loved ones, he knows that stealth is the best way to catch the alert rabbils that wander the grasslands.

20190311184035_1.thumb.jpg.02b4f1e6b0df529a5fb47c43fd0cce2e.jpg

Maron catches a rabbil and proudly brings the meat back to his new kit. Or kits in this case. Castana has given birth to twins with some interesting features. The small female has a bill, suited for digging up worms in the sand. The male has antlers and a strange, finned body built for swimming. Maron is surprised by his new children, but proud, nonetheless. Castana looks up at the rain clouds, deciding that the water gods had a role in this. She names the female Pelke and the male Pluvo.

When the twins are able to take their first steps, Castana rather roughly tells them not to play under the palm tree that overlooks the nest. She convinces Maron to stay close to the nest and do some domestic chores for the day.

20190311185717_1.thumb.jpg.0502aa1f1c64957c832a2b90d6c7eb76.jpg

Maron gets distracted and hears a mole in the distance. Castana, pregnant once more, gulps down some berries while she watches over her rowdy children. She never realised that having a legacy would be such hard work. Maron catches the mole, looking forward to hunting with his children one day.

20190311185944_1.thumb.jpg.4546d5a796886c2a2a3d1a8f8de0aa5e.jpg

Another child with the water body is born, named Lutra after her otter coloured coat. Much to Maron’s disappointment, his growing twins seem to be more interested in the sea than hunting with him and to see another kit with the water body only seems to make him sadder. Castana can’t help but wonder if the gods are guiding their family down a specific path.

20190311190418_1.thumb.jpg.984fc5182cd18f747f916fae624d1bc5.jpg

Castana, now saddled with three young children to care for, is silently hoping that her next child will be her last. She has come to love Maron but he seems to want as many children as a nicheling could possibly bare. Meanwhile, Pluvo takes his first excited steps into the sea. As her brother playfully splashes about in the waves, Pelke, who can’t breathe underwater herself, can’t help but feel a little bit jealous.

20190311191148_1.thumb.jpg.325eaf16eec11f9680a2665cdcc07def.jpg

The rains have arrived and Castana calls Pelke up to help gather the latest harvest while she tends to the young Lutra. Pelke, knowing what her mother can be like when she’s mad, does as she’s told. Meanwhile, Pluvo has noticed how sad his father looks and decides to catch some fish to bring as a gift.

20190311191520_1.thumb.jpg.6331c4231e97c721446b68430d033c00.jpg

Another water breathing child is born. She looks just like Lutra except with her father’s short snout. Castana names her Kisa. Maron lets his frustrated thoughts stew over today’s harvest. He decides that settling down by the coast must be having an effect on his kits and plans to convince Castana to move further inland in the morning. Pelke, now done with her harvest, is permitted to go play by Castana. Pluvo tells Pelke of his idea to bring his father fish and Pelke agrees to tag along.

Castana agrees to her mate’s plan to move on but only when Kisa comes of age. The prickly nicheling admits that she has lost track of her original goal. Lutra, having seen her brother play in the sea from the nest, can hardly wait to join him. After Pluvo brings the fish he caught to his father, he happily agrees to take Lutra for her first swim. In the meantime, Lutra goes down to the shore to play with the coconuts after being sternly reminded of their danger by Castana. Maron takes his first bite of fish. He had never had a bite of the wriggly creatures, his tribe favouring the meat of rabbils and stagmoles. The fish tastes all right, but no other food can possibly come close to the taste of red meat for him. Nevertheless, he tells his son he loves it so not to hurt his feelings. Pelke can’t help but notice something is wrong but she doesn’t bring it up to either her brother or her father.

20190311193514_1.thumb.jpg.705f0c240d8a43883a682e3994a6a26e.jpg

Overlooked by her siblings and her mother, Lutra dips her toes into the shallows.

20190311193740_1.thumb.jpg.7258840f0a9e55c7546c92ebb986f855.jpg

Pluvo and Pelke are now of breeding age, although breeding is far from the first things on their mind. Pluvo, with his love of the sea, needs to get the itch for adventure out of his paws before he thinks about settling down. Pelke on the other hand, has grown rather attached to her mother and now eagerly helps her out with gathering berries, grasses, and playing with her little sister Kisa. Maron, knowing that Kisa will be old enough to wander from the nest soon, is excited to begin moving to a new nest.

20190311194718_1.thumb.jpg.a1b3c57fa3c1d3c09304d0c9eb56ce50.jpg

On the day of moving, Castana and Maron manage to reach a compromise with the adventurous Pluvo and Lutra. The lake the family plan to settle down by, is connected to a tidepool so the siblings can visit whenever they wish to. Castana discovers that she is pregnant with her fifth child. When the family arrive at the new nest, Pelke and Kisa happen upon a strange creature sitting in the grass. Castana looks upon the creature with a certain fondness. She tells her daughters not to be afraid, for the peaceful bear will keep you safe from predators, provided you give something back in return. Seeing that the bear was happily munching grass, Pelke offered up some of the family’s spare nesting material.

Pluvo and Lutra are enjoying their time out at sea. There is plenty of fish to catch and there doesn’t seem to be a care in the world. Maron, unusually focused today, clears out the area around the nest for his unborn kit. Pelke, under the watchful eye of her new friend, gathers berries. Kisa tentatively approaches the lake. She had always been rather nervous about the sea so she wants to practise her swimming somewhere safer first.

20190311195958_1.thumb.jpg.fa5100122f4ae46184d4963e9c5f0d5b.jpg20190311200217_1.thumb.jpg.e4106619a897806ecaf206e0124c2545.jpg

Maron is quietly relieved that his new son is land based but with his lack of claws or ramhorns, it seems unlikely that he’ll be interested in hunting. He names the kit Outono after his red spotted coat. Kisa has taken a liking to the lake, just the right size for her to play in.

20190311200854_1.thumb.jpg.65e820bf540a1f79f535b3414bc8dba1.jpg

With the arrival of the rain, the harvest begins once again. Kisa finds a mysterious wanderer on the shore who has helped himself to her berries. With his young daughter’s shriek, Maron goes to investigate. The creature has a spiky body, just like his mate but with two runner legs instead of two nimble fingers, the newcomer is built for speed. The animal introduces himself as Nido, bashfully admitting that he got lost from his own tribe during a hunt. Maron accepts, happy that he has at last found a hunting partner, even if it isn’t one of his own kits.

While adventuring in the ocean, Lutra has come of age. Naturally, she takes a lot after Pluvo and follows him everywhere he goes. Pluvo takes a bite of berries and is reminded of his parents. He decides to pay them a visit in the near future.

While gathering berries with the peaceful bear, Pelke feels something ram into her side. A young female nicheling. Before the creature can rudely shove past her, she is stopped in her tracks by the peaceful bear, whom Pelke realises looks quite menacing to those who don’t know him. The female trembles in the grass.Pelke assures the female that the bear won't hurt her and the female steps out of her shelter. Pelke asks who the female is and where she came from. The female gruffly introduces herself as Lyn.

Before Pelke can ask more, Lyn shoves past her into the main camp. Although Castana would never admit it out loud, she has grown quite fond of having young nichelings around. No longer the rough first-time mother she used to be, she gets ready for her sixth child.

20190311204048_1.thumb.jpg.5f76331d905836f97e0d6b6b5373d3eb.jpg

Lyn has come of age. She is a playful spirit who gets along better with young nichelings than nichelings her own age. Although the others can’t help but notice a certain sadness in her heart. Meanwhile, Nido and Maron are planning their first hunt together and Pluvo is planning his journey upstream.

20190311204611_1.thumb.jpg.0364aa1b6850c7c1ae842fc7404d7a04.jpg

With the birth of his sixth and likely final child, Maron is over the moon. With a medium body and antlers, he finally has the apprentice he always longed for. The young male is named Eikel. Kisa has come of age. A shy and reserved nicheling, she is a foil to her loud and brash best friend Lyn. Outono is quickly becoming like his mother and his sister Pelke, dutiful and not particularly adventurous.

Pluvo and Lutra make their way up the river. Kisa is quite shocked. She was very young when her two elder siblings set off on their grand adventure and didn’t get to know them too well. Lyn, however, looks intrigued by these newcomers. Pelke waves to her twin brother from across the lake. After all these months, she didn’t realise how much she missed him.

The family spend the day catching up. Pluvo can’t help but notice that Lyn seems to be making eyes at him. He hauls himself onto the bank and makes himself acquainted. Although she is shy at first, Lyn feels like she can tell anything to this mysterious male. She finally lets her mysterious backstory slip. She was the only survivor of a storm that wiped out her entire tribe and stayed alive by floating on a raft of log to the island Pluvo’s family called home. Fascinated by Pluvo’s own tales of adventure, they quickly bond. Soon, Castana and Maron will be grandparents.

Lyn is assigned runner leg and pattern density very thin and Pluvo is assigned webbed hind legs and chestnut brown fur.

20190312140713_1.thumb.jpg.f91045fcc2ab07833297cc9f8b1e77a6.jpg

Pluvo guides Lyn to the seaside nest where he was once born. Kisa follows after Lyn, eager to see her friend’s first child. Even Pelke, who was never that close to Lyn, is fascinated that she finally opened her heart to someone.

Now that Eikel has grown his second gem, Maron is swelling with pride. He gives his youngest son his first hunting lesson, teaching him how to hunt the wary stagmole. Eikel successfully snags the creature and Maron’s pride only grows. Much to Eikel’s disappointment, a creature steals the meat. And a blind creature no less! Before Eikel can even complain, the female scarfs down the food. Nido says that despite her great strength that she is afflicted with a wasting sickness that will cut her life in half. Castana takes pity on the creature and allows her to join the family.

The female is of few words, so the family affectionately nicknames her Mole.

20190312144705_1.thumb.jpg.e1a3e8f2d3a7b4a01c7e7fadd9d5ade1.jpg

The birth of Pluvo and Lyn’s first child is celebrated by the family. Remembering how he could see the stars so clearly at night when he was out at sea, Pluvo names his first son Orion. Still sore at having lost his mole meat, Eikel is taken hunting by Nido. Although she cannot see, Mole seems to be fascinated by the water and turns out to be a brilliant fisher. Lutra is rather enjoying the blind nicheling’s company and feels she can learn a few things from her.

Outono comes of age and he is proving himself to be one of the tribe’s most resourceful gatherers. He is introverted and somewhat of a workaholic, barely moving from his assigned berry bush on some days. Meanwhile, Pelke is considering starting a family with Nido, who she considers to be a kind and hard-working nicheling. Nido’s first slot is open and the gods give him short snout. Pelke’s first slot is open and the gods give her medium tail.

20190313181038_1.thumb.jpg.d6bf59e7fe943f9eb8106b414d1abce0.jpg

Lyn’s second kit with Pluvo, a male named Capricorn, is rather unexpected. He has ears nearly as big as himself and long slender horns while having his father’s water body. Lyn, who has itchy paws from staying in the nursery for so long, decides to go rabbil hunting while her mate watches her children for the day.

20190313181652_1.thumb.jpg.082ca521cefced90ce325e0a8a1dfe33.jpg

Meanwhile, Mole smells a stranger by the waterside and growls warily. Expecting the worst, Lutra is expecting to find a predator. Instead, she finds a female with the same horns as capricorn and a magestic big body and stinky tail. The female chirpily introduces herself as Impala and claims that she left her old tribe to experience new things. Lutra becomes fast friends with Impala and invites her into the tribe.

20190313184436_1.thumb.jpg.7316e3d54e1f22b4fd3a16dd6e8dcf70.jpg

Pelke gives birth to a son who bears a strong resemblance to Nido, so she names him Nuno in his honour. Already, this little kit is his parents’ pride and joy. Young Orion has grown his second gem and is turning out to be just as energetic as his mother and father. While playing with he mother, he goes over to look at his cousin. Pelke has to gently shoo her nephew away, as the newborn Nuno is rather young for playing.

Castana knows she is growing elderly. And with a gaggle of kits and grandkits to watch over, she declares the tribe to be too big for the amount of resources they have. In truth, she just wants some peace and quiet by her favourite palm tree in her twilight years. She scolds Orion for playing close to the palm tree as she did to her children, although there is a jovial edge to her voice.

Meanwhile, Maron doesn’t seem to have slowed down at all. Very spry for his age, he is determined to teach Eikel everything he knows about hunting before retiring. His attidtude has considerably mellowed and he has come to accept all of his other childrens' life choices.

20190313183658_1.thumb.jpg.7101a29ddecb90a53aa809f8667f0447.jpg

The rains have finally come after a long drought and Outono is overjoyed. He bossily asks Orion to help him out for the day. Orion, a bundle of youthful energy, finds this work to be rather dull.

Eikel grows his final gem. He is a lot like his father was in his early years; hot headed and a dutiful hunter. He is infatuated with Impala, although he doesn’t want to admit it. Satisfied with his prodigy's progress, Maron retires to elderhood.

Lutra has noticed that Mole has begun to grow very weak in recent days. Knowing that she probably won’t survive the night, Lutra wishes her friend a final goodbye.

Lutra spends the next day looking across the lake sadly. While the whole family is saddened by the death of one of their own, no one knew Mole as well as Lutra did. Life carries on as normal. Capricorn has his second gem and is practically his older brother’s shadow. Their parents discuss the possibility of having a third child, Lyn wishing to have a daughter.

Eikel watches from afar as Impala chats to Kisa. Impala is far from the most approachable nicheling. While she is lively and gregarious, she is beautiful and she knows it.

While out hunting, Eikel stumbles into a bearyena. Never having know danger in his life, Eikel gives a startled yelp, swats the predator on the face, and runs.

20190313192308_1.thumb.jpg.c84736bc53739db3c1923237726ceb09.jpg

Oblivious to the danger, Orion and Capricorn play a game of whack-a-stagmole and Nuno is curious about his unborn cousin.

The bearyena chases down Eikel and Nido and Impala jump to his rescue. Seeing Impala fight the bearyena with ease only strengthens his attraction towards her. A high-pitched growl sounds from the grass and a baby bearyena tumbles from the grass. Nido, knowing the young cub won’t survive long without its mother and volunteers to put it out of its misery. Kisa steps in at the last moment and adopts the cub, not wishing to see a baby harmed.

Lyn gets her wish and gives birth to a beautiful daughter named Bellatrix. Nuno is delighted and volunteers to watch over her while Lyn goes out to forage.

Orion comes of age and he is an adventurous soul with a heart of gold. However, he is easily bored and wishes for his tribe to discover new lands. He is especially close to his brother Capricorn and his uncle Eikel.

Kisa turns out to be a natural mother, nurturing the bearyena as if he were her own child.

Pluvo is somewhat worried about Lutra. She has been sitting in the same spot and dangling her fishing tail over the water for a while now.

Castana and Maron, knowing they do not have long for this world, settle down by the palm tree on their final day. They reminisce about their life together. How they met and how proud they were of every child they had brought into the world. Before they pass away in their sleep that night, they exchange a discussion over who should be the family’s next leader.

And you get to decide who do you think should become this whimsical family's next leader?

Castana and Maron die and everyone mourns. To everyone’s surprise, both elderly nichelings have decided on Capricorn becoming the new leader of the tribe. Orion can’t help but feel hurt. He is older than Capricorn, who hasn’t even grown his second gem yet, and he is the more outgoing of the two. Orion slinks away during Capricorn’s leadership ceremony and his grandparents' funeral.

Capricorn, already a kind and humble nicheling, wishes for his tribe to be a haven for all castaways. A maximum of 26 creatures are allowed into the tribe under his leadership. He asks the tribe’s most adventurous creatures to expand the territory to make room for a larger family.

Lutra has not taken the death of Mole well, believing that she could have found a way to save her. Both she and Pluvo are allowed a few days off from their duties to recover and find comfort in each other.

20190314152440_1.thumb.jpg.b1aebaddbe70d5cd12e1d123d419251b.jpg

To calm his elder brother's nerves, Capricorn asks Eikel to take Orion on a hunting trip. Even Eikel is surprised at Orion’s aggression when hunting down the rabbils.

20190314153337_1.thumb.jpg.0ab99e1ea152f7b1507bb69d207de740.jpg

Lyn goes over to comfort Pluvo and Lutra. Knowing her mate’s age is catching up to him, she agrees to have one final child with him.

Meanwhile, Outono has decided to fight back against the rabbils that are terrorising his well cultivated berry bush. Eikel and Impala can’t help but laugh together at Outono’s frantic but futile attempts to catch the pests.

Capricorn is of breeding age at last. He is very mature for his young age and is turning out to be a strong and kind leader, understanding towards his subjects and always making sure the family’s elders and kits are fed before himself.

Nuno is turning out to be a patient friend for Bellatrix, although she has a rather aggravating tendency for wandering off.

Growing exhausted of his nephew’s sulking, Eikel finally works up the nerve to ask Impala on a hunting trip. Impala gladly accepts his offer and Eikel confesses his love for her over a romantic dinner of stagmole and rabbil.

Pelke has noticed that Nido has been growing weaker as of late. Although they only had one kit together, Nido is happy with the life he has led. On Nido’s final day, he and his mate share one last meal together.

Newborn Aries is almost the spitting image of his father. Having done his part genetically, Pluvo retires into elderhood with Pelke.

Nuno has grown his final gem. Patient and nurturing, Capricorn declares him the family’s first official nursery guard, watching over young kits and helping females give birth.

Kisa’s hard work has paid off. The friendly bearyena is now fully grown and healthy as can be. The bearyena, affectionately nicknamed Tangle, still makes many of his tribemates nervous but they are comforted by the boundless love Kisa has for the creature. (accidentally gave her pink gems whoops! Probably because she's so sweet)

Eikel happily announces to Capricorn that he and Impala are expecting their first kit. Eikel is given normal eyes by me and pattern density thin by the gods. Impala is assigned runner leg and black horns.

Distracted by his duties as a leader, Capricorn has yet to notice that Orion has disappeared.

While looking for food for his upcoming family, Eikel finds a strange little frog alone in the grass. The female, named Ran,a appears to have no idea where her parents are so Eikel guides her to the nursery, where she is welcomed with open arms by both Capricorn and Nuno.

While she spends the day with Tangle, Kisa notices Orion hidden in the grass but before she can talk to him, he vanishes.

Lutra has recovered from her grief and persuades Pluvo to go on one last fishing trip in the ocean.

Lyn is having trouble dealing with Orion’s absence and with Aries, who is already a rowdy and destructive kit.

Although Bellatrix is excitable and easily distracted, she really looks up to her big brother Capricorn and becomes his protégé. While training her, Kisa reveals that she has seen Orion somewhere in the grasses to the west. Her slim water body appears to be larger than usual.

Also, I'm trying to think of a gem combination for leaders! Blue surrounded by gold could be nice.

Sorry for the short entry today. I'm feeling pretty lazy and uncreative haha

Pregnant Kisa reaches the nursery. Her first slot is left open and her second slot contains chestnut brown fur. Lyn has left Aries in the reliable care of Nuno, giving her time to talk to her old friend. Lyn is overjoyed that Kisa is finally having a child of her own, though she is curious to know who the father is. Not wishing to pry, she simply assumes it is a wanderer.

Rana is watching Nuno care for the kits and the nest mothers with shy curiosity. She isn’t quite sure how she’ll contribute to the family. She’s not fast enough or strong enough to be a hunter and Outono is pretty grumpy.

Capricorn has decided to go looking for Orion. He asks Pelke to watch over the camp in his absence.

A blind nicheling stumbles into camp. Eikel can’t help but be reminded of Mole, who stole the stagmole from under his nose all those years ago. The creature, who is named Shrew, had been abandoned by his tribe. Hearing rumours of how Capricorn’s tribe would accept anyone, he has asked to join. Knowing Capricorn would do the same, Pelke accepts him.

Kisa’s son, named Bramble, is born. Everyone in the nursery gathers to see the kit’s dire looking claws. Impala is rather horrified. What nicheling could possibly have claws like that? Lyn has noticed that the brown little bundle of fur looks quite a lot like a bearyena from afar. Was it even possible for a nicheling to breed with one of those beasts, she wondered to herself. And if so, who would want to do that? Kisa is her friend but she couldn’t help but feel secretly repulsed by her kit.

Aries has grown his second gem and is too busy attacking a bush to be concerned with stupid nursery drama.

Impala’s own newborn, a spitting image of Eikel, is left in the capable paws of Nuno. Rana volunteers to help him care for Impala’s kits and takes it to it very well. Even Nuno is surprised.

Capricorn finds Orion on the outskirts of camp. Orion nearly run off, but Capricorn offers to share a rabbil and catch up. Orion admits that he felt jealous of Capricorn getting the leadership position and not him. When the sun begins to set, Orion states that he needs to find his purpose alone and requests that Capricorn does not try to follow.
