Inspired by the volcanic island suggestion:

I couldn't find anything about this which surprised me a little given how cool the raptors claws are and how much people seem to want new hindlegs. Anyhoo, this would be based off of the huge toe claws of the dromaeosaurids. They would give +2 strength and +2 speed, as they were likely quite fast and agile. If climbing was added, it could be changed to +1 speed and +1 climbing as they were probably also good climbers

Well all hindlegs are required to have at least 1 speed and 1 swimming so that all creatures will always be able to move regardless of the situation.

Perhaps, rather then strength it could give a large amount of bleed damage?

Isn't bleed damage determined by strength?
