New Genes 021: locusts (Buffs for attractiveness)

Biogamer

Post

The locusts is well known as eating crops and was one of the ten plagues God used against the Egyptians when they didn't listen to Moses. And for good reason with their unique abilities. The chirping body would be unlocked by calling 40 times and collecting 50 times. The effects would be +1 attractiveness (for both genders), +1 heat resistance, +1 cold resistance and maybe +2 flight. The reason for the resistances is because locust have the rare ability to change their temperature slightly to adapt to environments.

The Locus hind legs would be unlocked by spending 50 days in grasslands and exploring 50 time. The effects would be +2 speed, +1 swimming and either +1 attractiveness (for both genders) or +1 strength. The attractiveness because the sound we hear is used for attracting a mate. As for strength they do have a powerful kick and as for attractiveness with some species both the males and females produce sound to communicate/attract a mate. But mandibles are wanted a lot so there's no reason to describe them.

Hope this was interesting, Sincerely Biogamer.

It's the sound that's attractive so it should add voice reach rather than attractiveness, which is for appearance

Also, I don't know about locusts but id assume that like crickets the females have different anatomy and are unable to chirp like the males

Also the legs don't make sound so they shouldn't have voice reach/attractiveness.I would also only give 1 speed if they've got an extra ability, otherwise they would be op compared to the other hindlegs

Yeah it was originally cricket forgot to edit that out for the hind legs. But as for the male/female thing as mentioned above there are species of Locust were both males and females chirp to communicate, this includes attracting a mate.

Looked it up and both sexes of grasshopper are able to chirp, only the female doesn't do it very often and is quieter than the male. Perhaps males could get +2 voice reach and females could just get +1
