so im doing this now

(the next bit happens in my pantheon. mekoko is my goddess of death, tornado is my god of life. rosefur is my goddess of the earth/ plants)

mekoko shot her body around, after hearing a voice cut through the darkness.

"mekoko" it echoed.

"what?" she replied, somewhat calm yet still annoyed; she knew who this voice belonged to. "i'm busy, tornado. can't you see I have a bearynea to control?"

"yes, but this is important, mekoko. I may have forgiven you, but I still control your duties."

the beaked goddess sighed. "fine. lead the way."

"good."

the two arrived at rosefur's home, where plants of all sorts- roses, ivy, thorns,- spiralled around the small earth in the center, powered by a magical force. rosefur sat next to it, and turned to welcome the two dieties.

"oh.. hello there. I see you brought mekoko." she spoke in a soft voice, almost silently. something had troubled her, and mekoko immediately knew that.

"I need your help.  theres a.. creature.. who-" tears swelled in her eyes, and tornado explained the ordeal to mekoko. "a creature was chosen by her to be a prophet of sorts. spread the word of her to their tribe. instead, the creature spread rumors of how she is a vengeful goddess, who only loves to control things she has no business with. she can't seem to change the tribe's mind now. what she asks, mekoko, is that you use your power to destroy the creature. make their life.. hell."

mekoko objected; "doesn't that seem a little counter-productive? they think you are a vengeful goddess, so you get me to destroy them all. great idea-"

"mekoko. you do not have a choice" the only god in the room spoke, firmer than the stone beneath their feet.

"okay then. just dont come crying to me AGAIN when they all are just more scared of you."

" you made the right choice. now, rosefur, show her this creature"

"o-of course"

tawnystar settled her feet on the sand. she had finally arrived on this new island; and in turn had -hopefully- escaped the cage of rosefur's control.  leaving her whole life behind had been hard, but she couldn't live knowing she could be pushed around like some kind of puppet at any moment, because they didn't believe in a goddess.20190330152352_1.thumb.jpg.c6e12f4d8b0291bb3f303ccd14749872.jpg

she wandered for a while, weaving her way through a rogue male's line of sight, and she had finally discovered some kind of reliable food source. it was hard to rely on her digging paw- she couldn't smell a single thing with her gills. any food in the ocean was ignored too- she feared the leeches' teeth more than starvation itself. a berry bush would be more than alright for now, especially because her instincts constantly reminded her of the threat of defender bears emerging at any moment.20190330153242_1.thumb.jpg.9685495f5cd8120ef5428e62830e57a1.jpg

a rainstorm and a harvest later, a bearynea's growl climed up the hairs on her neck. she ran away and hid, hoping either the grass, her fur or her stinky tail would save her.

and it was barely enough to survive the night. the second the monster noticed her, she made a cunning escape through more savannah grasses.

but, as most things happen, it was not enough. her short life came to an end in one swift strike, and before she could run away (she remembered her family being able to survive many swipes) she found herself facing mekoko in what could only be described as some kind of afterlife, and she apologised to the poor child, explaining her situation and promising her a second chance at survival.

(ok well that ended quickly, im definitely starting with the same bloodline because I was really exited to do this challenge)

after being snuck through a series of gods and goddesses, mekoko sent tawnystar back down to earth, promising her atleast a friend, but realising that she could not undo the effects of her curse.

when the child awoke, she found herself even younger, with pure white fur, a buffet of smells in her nostrils, and an equally young, gilled, child curled up beside her.

"hey! wake up! you have to help me!" tawnystar knew the direness of her situation, and that her life would be ended immediately if they didn't get moving.

"I dont even know you. why would I care?"

"uhh, because you are just as likely to drop dead at this exact moment as I am?" tawnystar was used to this all by now, but her calm speaking about their inevitable deaths startled the unknowing child.

"what know? o- okay, forget that. who are you?"

"t- tawn-  ..brackensun."

"nice to meet you, 't-tawn- ..brackensun.'. im frostedmoon. what did you want now?"

"for you to help me not to die. you see, theres this curse that may or may not mean we could..." she explained the whole thing to him.

they couldn't do much yet with their single gems, so they split and explored until they grew, and frostedmoon had found an older friend with him. her name was mouseglove, and she was willing to help the two with their situation.

after clearing out the camp, a peaceful bear came from the grasses beyond, and mouseglove was willing to offer it some nesting material that was lying around.

after countless days spent in the same spot, the two (once) children had decided to leave. it didn't seem right there, and they wanted adventure. they dragged mouseglove over the stepping stones, and arrived on the back of a whale.
