Ideas! I don't know if this would make getting new/rare genetics too easy, but what if there where pregnant females wanderers? Maybe they would collect their own grasses, start their own tribe type thing. Maybe if they where super strong they could throw my female out of her nest if she was too far from others. Wandering nichelings could decide their mates, travel together, attack together, hunt collect and raise wandering children
Any male from my tribe can mate with any wandering female he finds, visa versa for wandering males, without having to invite them in. What if a wanderer sized up a tribal nicheling based on things like attractiveness, strength, and similar/better genes? Don't know how hard this would be to throw in there but I really like the idea.
I think the "Offer 5 food" thing is very easy- perhaps some nichelings know they're better off, and need more food. Maybe some can be brought in when breed with- staying for their new family. Some nichelings that cannot collect may know their place and require less food, if any at all.
