Community gets toxic?

I'm not that active here, especially not in the roleplay section (been there right at the beginning, then never again).

Anyway, @Morso has made me wonder about what's going on. (And slightly panic).

Would you (all) care to tell me what's going on?

Some people were arguing, I think- they got warnings by ~the mods~? Others can probably help more.

A) People mostly don't know how to talk about their feelings, shouting ensues, everyone is sad.

B) Remark by person X is a terrible thing to say in an oddly specific case to person Y. 

C) depression, anxiety and the like are quite common. People don't have enough energy to deal with what others throw around casually
