Teratornis? (Renamed)

So it's a bigger bluebird and it's found on killer islands

Maybe they could take teens? Maybe they have 5 defense?

They will come when it rains

The teen nicheling would have to travel in groups to be protected. ("Maybe the teens would have to move in groups?")

It would be a darker-brown-gray and eagle-like. It would at night unlike the bluebird which moves every turn. ("It should be a different colour. Maybe darkish brown-grey? Sort of like an eagle or owl or crow? Or a mix. bluebirds move with every turn but if you wanted to make the bird more different it could move at night - like an owl.")

It might also only come on rainy days because the Thunderbird is connected to weather changes

Please do not name this 'thunderbird'. A thunderbird is Native American mythology that has been taken by white people and twisted into something that it is not- perhaps name it Teratornis, which was a real animal and will not bastardise* multiple ethnic minorities. 

*not a swear word; means to 'make evil' of something.
