You grabbed hard on its tail, making it release you. You claw its face as it growls at you. That's when a very fluffy object leaps onto its back at high speeds. The object latches onto the fox. The fox turns away from spike and back to you. When you look at Spike you can see fur missing from his neck. The fox lunges at you, and Spike grabs on its tail.
