Limit Motorized Hinge Rotation

Draco

Post

Imagine if motorized hinges had a setting where you could set its angle of rotation. Something similar to the proximity sensor, but with the motorized hinge it would not rotate past it's range. This feature should be able to be turned on and off in the menu, perhaps setting the limit to 360 degrees removes the limit.

This feature could also be extended to the free hinge.

I like this idea.  It would also be pretty cool if the part had two outputs (right limit, left limit) similar to the directional sensor "tilt" outputs so you could detect when the hinge hits the limit.  This would make it much easier to make "sweeps" etc.

This can be marked 'implemented' now that we have the flipper part, which stops at two specific points of rotation.

what about

Nope the flipper part only supports up to 90° and you cannot set rotation speed also you cannot stop the flipper in between the angles.

the flipper part is simply to week
