Is this a bug? Wings in the ice blocks?

I had opened up an ice block and for some reason got a creature with wings and no prehistoric genes. I tried to create some worlds to open up more ice blocks to see if I would get any more. I did. Is this a bug or are the wings considered an ice block gene? It seems really strange as you can also find wings on wanderers.

Yes, this is intentional
The idea is that wings are an ancient gene. The gene went exstinct (with the exception of animals on Whale Island, where wings are quite common).
Sometimes Nichelings fly away from Whale Island, so you have a very low chance of meeting a wanderer with wings ^^

So it seems like the winged creatures are endangered instead of extinct?

okay, I opened an iceberg and found bird beak instead. is bird beak prehistoric? I doubt it.

I think all bird parts are prehistoric. I broke an ice block once and found a double-winged nicheling with a bird beak.

i had heard adding for the back story of the wings of it being a prehissotrtic gene so its not aglitch

Bird Beak does not count as prehistoric. The game just randomly picked a head type
