I was thinking nichelings could have dens or burrows so they could hide or sleep. You can hide your baby nicheling in the burrow so birds cannot get to them. Other big predators could not be able to get into the burrow unless your niche had big body. Your den also depend on how many tiles you dug them on, a predator with long front legs could reach in and hurt a nichleing depending on how many tiles you dug the burrow under. The burrow could collapse if a niche walks on that tile, your nichelings in that burrow would die or get hurt. Only a certain amount of nichelings can fit in the burrow depending on its size. I’m not sure if you should be able to see the nichelings in the burrow or not.
