If I use 'U' to hide the UI, and my last nicheling dies while the UI is hidden, the message does not appear, and pressing U does not do anything, nor does ESC. Basically, there's no way to escape, as the restart/leave message does not appear nor does the menu. I managed to escape by pressing the Windows key and opening Task Manager to shut down Niche.
