Issi's ears twitched at the faint sounds from outside. Did she go outside? Looking around the den she noticed that most of the little group was not their. Are all of them outside in the rain? She lied down with her head on her front paws. Better to wait and see.

A fain rumbling came from the dense woods, and Snowdove let out a low snarl.

Issi jumped up and hurried to the den entrance. "What is it!" Her eyes scan the outside but didn't see much with the rain but her ears did pick up strange sounds. "What is that?"

The bushes in the woods rustled, and two nichelings came running out.

Hazard broke through the undergrowth, a panicked look on her face as she rain towards them. Caution stumbled after her, gritting his teeth as he tried to run on his injured leg. It had a deep gash on it, running from his back to nearly his hind paw.

Huge, glowing eyes broke through the mist.

Issi just caught a glimpse of the glowing eyes before she went to Bubbli. "Up you go!" She pulled Bubbli up and sat her upright before rushing towards Finch. "Finch! Wake up!" Her voice panicked as her paws slide to a stop next to him. Her eyes going back to the entrance.

“Urgh not this again.” He sighed as he got to his paws and shook out his weary muscles. “I’m sorry for being so harsh.” He whispered to Issi as he brushed his head against hers and stood next to her, ready to run.

Startled at his affection she blinks and nods. Her eyes are drawn towards the entrance again. "We have to get out of here." She looks around for another escape from the den.

Bubbli watched from the den, shaking as blood sprayed at her paws.

Her blood ran cold at the sight of that 'thing'. How? Why? She starts to shiver in fear as she moved back, shaking her head. I can't.

Snowdove let out a screech, desperately biting and clawing at it's paw as it dug it's claws deeper. 

Juniper stepped out, staring wide-eyed at the beast and letting out a growl. Her quills raised, and she stood in place, fur bristling.

Rabbitspring continued to shriek and try and shove the best off of her beloved and claw at its hide.

Finch snapped into action after the initial fear and leapt onto its back mid stride, he dug his claws into its spine and held on tight.

It roared, getting off of Snowdove. It shook itself, trying to get Finch off. 

Juniper kept growling, and it's gaze snapped to her. It snarled, then lunged at her. Her quills barely protected her. She tried to run, but it snapped it's jaws around her tail, dragging her back.

Issi could hear the fighting but her paws refused to move just like her body didn't want to stop shaking. I, I. She tried to lift her head but she could feel fear take even more hold of her. The memories of the tribe being torn apart by the beasts settled in her mind as she whimpers. Then that claw that was meant for her slashing down on her first friend.

(technically if she has spiky body she doesn’t have quills... problem solved. Unless she has heat body.)

The bearyena bit down hard on Juniper's tail, and she let out a scream. She stumbled forward, a crack splitting the air. She lay on the ground, blood surrounding her. It had bit more than half her tail off.
