The female heard something looked around. She was covered in mud. "Hello?" She called out.

The shadow lifted his head slowly. His paws gave out and he fell to the ground.

 

"Tired.... Trees...." He mumbled, his dim eyes looking around as he lowered his head.

The nicheling stopped, she Sniffed the air, smelling nothing, like the nichelings had disappeared

she ran to the shadowy figure quickly, giving it a greatful nod.

‘’Thank you!’’ She said breathlessly.

The shadowy creature tried to call out to someone before passing out. He didn't have the energy to move.

The nicheling nodded and thought for a moment.

"Timber, why don't you keep your mouth shut for once?"

 

The words echoed in his mind as he lifted his head up. "Timber... That must be my name..." He mumbled to himself, thinking he'd found out a name for himself. He was happy, but that feeling quickly left. He got up and started walking towards where he heard the call before. He eventually arrived at the pond, looking around at some of the other shadows there. He didn't know what to do.

Timber put a paw into the water. It felt weird. "What is this stuff?" He asked, supposedly to himself. He put his other paw into the water, waiting a bit as it adjusted to the temperature. The feeling sent chills up his arms and through his body.
