Mane types 🦁

Lilytuft

Post

It would be cool if there were different types of manes. Think of a nicheling with the mane of a lion! Here are my ideas:

5af9abdd488c9_Manetypes.png.acc883c65323a5115ffc4586b206ab44.png

Small mane: Just few tufts of hair on the head

+1 attractiveness

Medium mane: The current mane

+1 cold resistance

Big mane: The mane of a lion

+2 cold resistance

-1 heat resistance

+2 attractiveness

Tuft mane: Like medium mane exept this comes with ear tufts and if you have medium tail, it gets a tail-tip-tuft and double effect. Females display eartufts (and tail tip) they also get effects.

+1 hearing

Double effect for medium tail

+ attractiveness

Dominance order:

Medium mane > Small mane > Big mane > Tuft mane

Edit: 23rd of February 2020

Updated artwork!

For comparison, no mane (so basically females with any mane type other than tuft-)

Medium mane:

I'm surprised we have 159 people on the forums (I know most of them probably made an account, visited a few times and never came back, but still)

Yeah what a crazy number!

These might make better stats:

Small mane:

+1 attractiveness

Medium mane:

+1 attractiveness

Big mane: (male lions rarely hunt and use their manes more as defense)

+1 defense

+1 distasteful appearance

-1 speed (min 1)

Tuft mane: (I'm thinking Lynx or Bobcat here)

+1 hearing (includes females)

The balance of 'attractiveness' would need to be shifted. So that peacock tail might give +3 while some manes give +1.

Why is this downvoted so much? I think it’s a decent idea..

I would probably faint if curly mane was added to the game xD (especially if it was along with all these other awesome manes!)

maybe the manes could also be affected by how long a nicheling has had a certain rank for a certain amount of time (ex growing/aging with omega, beta, alpha rank)

an option for no mane would be what your creatures should start with so eve has no mane and adam has small mane but the wanderers would have most likely no mane or tuft mane so that this wouldn't be  overpowered, the no mane would give no atributes and would be useful if you didn't wan't to make a lion, also the bearyena mane and liotah mane could be added to the post.(don't forget that you can edit!)
