Holding back tears, he crushed open the nut with one paw, watching as the top flew away and hit the stem of a berry bush. Then, his paws felt wet. "What the?..." Shell and Sparrow called out for their mother, desperately wishing that her head would surface. Many nichelings were frantic, watching as the ocean consumed their home. Katumai Posted May 7, 2020 Author Share Posted May 7, 2020 About a week later, the water flows from the island, leaving it a soaked mess. The tribe was living off what few berries were on the small piece of land, and unfortunately, Treebark died of starvation. Once they got back home, Torrent's body was discovered near the river.
