Floo's Journey - One Nichleing Finding his Purpose

[Applesauce]

Glacier goes to get more coconuts. He's really relying on his child to like coconuts.

Floo, still wet from getting the seaweed, hands over the materials to Rosie who's gives him a loving lick.

Very happy all of them seem to be.

[Applesauce]

Sadly though, this does not last long, for the next morning, another bearyena appears, standing in front of Glacier, towering ominously with it's silent, cold eyes and outrageously shape teeth.

[Applesauce]

Before the bearyena can make a move, he runs back to his mate and friend, alerting them of the danger.

'We can't run this time, this is our home.' Rosie says bravely, 'we'll have to fight it.'

'But what if you get injured, and what about the baby?' Glacier is nervous. He knows Rosie won't backdown from this.

'Don't worry, love, there are plenty of healing plants around.' She reassures him.

Glacier seems convinced, 'okay.' He says, determined.

(Glacier why you gotta ruin the moment???)

[Applesauce]

Rosie attacks first, clawing at the bearyena's feet. 'Back you furry beast!' She screams.

Then Glacier pokes it behind with his long horns. (I'm trying to make it sound innocent, so when I says poke, it's more like stab.)

[Applesauce]

Floo watches from the sides being the only one of his friends who can't attack. His toxic body and nimble finger are too squishy for the job.

[Applesauce]

First pregnant nicheling and first 2 bearyenas in one update, big stuff. Will next time have big stuff too? Who knows? Could be big, could be small, could also be green. Just saying. Tune in next time for more adventures with Floo, and thank you for reading.

As they fight through the night, Rosie and Glacier make a valiant effort but in the morning, both end up getting injured. Luckily none of it is great enough to pose a big problem.

(GEEZ GLACIER)

They continue to fight until the bearyena is just a big pile of meat. Very convenient.

[Applesauce]

Rosie picks the pile up with her large digger claw. 'Well that wasn't so bad!' She said, 'and this meat smells delicious! I think we need to fight bearyenas more often.'

'Oh god, please no,' Glacier thinks. He's picks out a coconut for Floo. What a nice friend.

[Applesauce]

Then he heads over to Floo, who at the sight of Glacier gives out a little squeak. He forgot he was covered in blood. 'Sorry to scare you buddy, it's mostly from the bearyena. Mind helping me clear up?'

Floo agrees. Soon Rosie joins them. Both have wounds that need cleaning.

[Applesauce]

(Sorry I took a walk. Now ima BACK!)

Floo manages to stop the bleeding. Quite the doctor, he is.

Then of course he takes brake by the berry bush.

[Applesauce]

In the morning, Rosie decides it's finial time to have this baby. FINALLY. 

She and Glacier go to their nesting spot. 

Together, they start to make a nest. In the end they have a warm, fuzzy, super awesome, baby-approved nest. The perfect place to give birth.

[Applesauce]

Floo stays near his berry bush. Although he has some doctoring experience, he's doesn't think anything can prepare him give for delivering a child. He clears out some grass, wanting to create a nice open play area for the baby.

OK it's baby time!

The night comes and goes, the stars shine and fade, and sometime during the night a baby boy is born. His fur is dark red like his mother's but without markings like his father. His eyes are a sweet hazel, and his mane as green as the leaves above him. His mother cradles him in her arms, making sure he's warm and safe.

Floo, who is waiting at the berry bush, decides to head over to meet his new nephew. Not before picking up some berries, of course.

While he's at it, he can't help but notice that the whole bay seems brighter and more alive as if greeting the new born into the world.

Floo, after getting some berries, hops over to the nest. When he sees the child, he gasps.

'Rosie, he looks just like you!' Floo says excitedly.

'Yep,' Rosie replies proudly. 'Except for that tail. Now that's defiantly his father's.'

She shifts to the side, revealing a white hammer-like tail. She's right. That's defiantly from Glacier.

Floo chooses to spend the whole day by the nest. How could he not?

Glacier, sitting at Rosie's other side, leans in towards the baby. He's very proud of his son because he sees it as a way to keep his tribes legacy alive in some way. Especially with that tail.

'So, what are we gonna to name him?' He asks.

She thinks for a moment. 'Mmm, I'm not exactly sure. What does he look like to you?'

Glacier looks at their son, still just a bundle of dark red fur. 'What about we name him after your father?'

'Nunu? He does look like a lot like him...' She only needs a second before she says, 'I love it! Nunu it is.'

[Applesauce]

After naming their new son, the new parents go to gather up some of the grasses. They've decided that clearing away the grass is best because it will give them the ability to see any predators or other threats. It will also be safer when he grows up.

[Applesauce]

In the morning, little Nunu is awake! Floo waits patiently by the nest ready for the little one to take his first steps. 

Thankfully the sky is clear of birds.

Rosie comes over to encourage him while Glacier guards him in the back.

[Applesauce]

He made it! Good little Nunu.

Glacier joins Rosie and Floo. All surround the child, congratulating him on his efforts. Nunu is proud.

[Applesauce]

Afterwards they all go off to do chores. Now that they have little Nunu they must be extra careful of the food supply and nesting material since Rosie and Glacier might have another baby.

Floo clears the grasses and gathers berries while keeping little Nunu well in sight.
