I have been trying for ages to download the update, I have opened and closed steam several times, restarted my computer 3 times and still no luck. It just stops at around 22% and stops downloading.

Seriously, just as I post on the forums about having problems updating niche it decides to finally work >.>

  2. I have literally been counting down the days that the update is going to be released. Since there was no actual date mentioned and just "The last week of April" I have been saying 1-7 days for the past week. Which means that today is 1-2 days. Or would it be 0-2 days since the update could be released today?

  3. This is Rikuta, his name is a combination of his father's name and his mother's name.  His mother needed to pass on an immunity gene before she died but had no mate. His father desperatly wanted a mate and to be a father. They happened to meet on his mother's last day alive. She died as she gave birth to Rikuta.

  4. yeah, he does. You literally just put him on the nest and he gives birth. Although it may end up with glitchy blood clotting. I had twins, a male and female, and the male had both slots that were filled with normal blood clotting, and the female had no blood clotting whatsoever.

I would like fluffy ears, too. However, maybe they could be more like a lynx's tufted ears, or the ears of an arctic fox, and not like cuddly dog ears? That's just my opinion, though.

Well, there are 4 (I think) different ear types in the game. All of them are upright ears. You're suggesting that fluffy ears would be upright too, right? It's just that if these were implemented and designed like you suggested, there would be 5 upright ears. I just thought floppy ears or something similar would be a nice change.

  6. I was messing around with commands, and came across the Switchgender command. So I played with it and ended up getting a pregnant male. Does this count as a bug even though I used commands?image.thumb.png.3e69dd929933440f243bd9ccadc9b77e.png

  7. So, I suggested fluffy ears in the last community voting. It didn't get enough votes though, so I thought I would suggest it again with some art I did. They would be floppy (just because I'd love some more ear variety) and the stats would be:

    +2 cold resistane

    -1 heat resistance.

+2 hearing (a little less hearing than normal cause of all the fluff!)

+1 Smelling (I saw someone suggest this)

I would really like to hear what people think.  Also, digital art is not my strong point so I apologise for the awful drawing.

  8. I had moved my nicheling so they could collect berries from a berry bush and I noticed a "cracking" option. So I look under the bush, and... there's a clam.  I assume this isn't supposed to happen.  Although I have over 100 nichelings, so maybe that is why the game is getting buggy.image.thumb.png.e5222afaaa3951a62bb24536f8968fe0.png

  9. Gem colours are really useful as I can use them to note who is going to the next island and who is mates with who. i also think a feature in the family tree that lets us search for nichelings with a specific gem colour would be useful

  10. Maybe a way to get wings would be similar to the bearyhena genes. Maybe if you shook a nearby tree there would be a small chance that a baby blue bird would fall down but in order to keep it alive you would have to feed it a certain amount of food every day until it is an adult to keep it alive and then maybe it could hunt etc like the bearyhena does and maybe there would be a chance it would bring you babies that other bluebirds might have stolen Im not so sure about the last idea though.

  11. I thought maybe you could add in an ear that could add cold resistance since there is an ear gene that adds heat resistance. I thought maybe they could be floppy and very fluffy, which adds heat resistance however maybe because they are fluffy they would have less hearing than other ear genes
