if anything, you would find a fossil instead
Adding to this, you would have to find multiple fossils of one gene to unlock a gene.

That would be awesome! I always liked to play with water nichelings but I was never able to get really into it because the water areas always felt really small and kinda plain, and, if this gets implemented, I’m really looking forward to all this would add!

I love this idea!❤️ I hope it gets implemented into the game. I have 3 questions:
Would it give strength because you have to be strong to cut down trees?
Would the trees have a ragged stump look, because if you have ever seen a trees that was cut down by a beaver, you would know they don’t cut it down cleanly.
Would it give +x smelling, and if so, how much?

the idea is cool, just that the name tail fat, isn't really the best name
I agree Pebbleheart. I think some better names would be Stout Tail or Bush Tail. (That's just my opinion for better names sorry if you disagree)

I like this idea a lot as it would give the people that are always giving themselves challenges to make the game harder, a chance to make the game harder via "natural" methods like spawn rate of predators.

So there are genes like derp snout and deformed paw, but there isn't a bad body gene. It's name would be Deformed body or some other name like Hunched body or Cripple Back. It would come with -1 speed, -1 attack, and -1 collecting because the hunched/crippled/deformed body would restrict the nicheling's ability to do actions a normal bodied nicheling would be able to do. While all of this sounds really bad, the chance of getting it would be low because it would be rogue exclusive, non-mutatable, and a recessive gene.
Also it would give +1 Distasteful Appearance because of how ugly they would look, and I doubt a carnivore would want to eat them
