  1. I deleted a game I didn't really like, and made a new game in the same 'new game' file; the fourth. I spent around four or five hours on the game, and I really liked how it was turning out. I clicked the 'Exit Game' button to return to my desktop. I reopened Niche, and I found my deleted file replacing my new game.

It was really irritating, and it's actually happened before; but it hasn't replaced a current game before!

The way I pictured this is that the mutated female mane would look slightly different than the normal ones like perhaps its smaller or shorter/scarcer or paler(sort of how all water bodied nichlings have a blueish tint to their original fur color).

Also at least it would repel or deter pesky rogue males and attract female wanderers. Perhaps it could add an intimidation stat into the game(if its not already in-game)?

The mane for females should probably be super hard to breed in, than, if it's a bit op-ish. I like the idea for the marsupial genes itself, but not so much the gene. I guess it's just my opinion though- ,:,D

  3. I've tested my computers speakers themselves or tried seeing if I did something wrong with the game- the audio just keeps glitching. It'll be fine for a short period of time, maybe ten seconds, then the audio will pause and glitch/repeat a few times. I've just kept my audio off, which is a shame because then I don't notice the bird, a bearyena, or wanderer until it's too late.

  4. But wouldn't the Spiture be a great creature for the Tiny Green island? XD

All jokes aside, I would love an ultimate powerful predator besides the apes or killer bearyena- which are honestly not ultimately powerful once you get ramhorns + double claws, bearyena genes, or snow genes. This way, players would honestly have a real challenge that they couldn't just fight with brute strength. :0

I love this idea so much! Take my vote. :D

  5. Trying to create different 'tribes' in the same save file gets annoying- Especially if you have feuding packs! Why would they eat from the same food source, and why would the same tribe stay together forever, and not split at least once in their history?

There will be arguing creatures about the safety and path of the tribe. Carnivores, omnivores, herbivores; many creatures live different lifestyles.

There could be a button next to your save file. It could look like an arrow or button of some sort. From there, you'd be sent to the family tree of the tribe. You could select the niche creatures you want to 'split' from the tribe, and there could be a button at the top left corner saying, "Create New Tribe". You can still control both/multiple tribes, but the tribes would eat from a different food source, and they could attack each other.

I would love more suggestions, to further better this idea! :0 I don't know if the current system I have planned works well, so please suggest ideas! :)

As u said for it to be a variation of nichelings , maybe inviteing them in the tribe could work as with adam's family ( need a specific ability/gene for it) like at the arhipelago maybe high swimming skill or at the mountain high cold rezistence.

That would work. Although I imagine them a bit bigger than a rabbil, maybe they could be a bit smaller than a regular niche creature. ':D

  7. The Sawbarra- or Sawcuda, I'm unsure. Sawbarra could be for males and Sawcuda could be for females- would be a stealthy underwater predator. A combination of a Saw Shark and a Barracuda. Since the only underater predator we have currently are the Razoreena, I thought I'd come up with a creature myself. It wouldn't show up on any easy island, though maybe the Archipelago, and wouldn't go into rivers or near the beaches. The idea is that they can only be caught by swimming nichelings with high attack or fishing. If you can't fish it, you can try to attack it. Most common near jungle islands, and can't stand the cold.

A Sawbarra would have teeth sticking out the edges of it's mouth, much like the Saw shark. It would appear to be a bottom feeder, but will attack if you get too close. It has a silver appearance, and an eye for shiny things. Maybe it'd be attracted to creatures with distasteful smell or appearance, as it can't smell and only has great eyesight; great eyesight for anything and everything bright! It has many small fins for balance, and three main large fins for swimming. It must keep moving every turn- if you surround it, it'll stop breathing and lose health! Babies are easy prey. Babies probably couldn't be tamed.

Watch out; these are at the top of their food chain! They can be seen chasing clown koi or razoreena. (I've seen other sea predator suggestions, and if those are added in, these guys would be fish to them. ':D)

    Stats:

    Underwater breathing (gills.)

5 swimming (Largest fin would add two, the two medium fins add one each, and all the smaller fins add balance which counts as one.)

    2 attack (snout/teeth.)

5 fishing (they have a mouth underneath their snout, and it's like a regular barracuda's. It doesn't add attack, though, since it's blocked by the snout.)

    4 sight (underwater/predator eyes.)

Drops 10 food when attacked and killed, drops 5 or 7 when fished.

Moves like a rogue male or walrus deer; every time you move.

  8. (Picture is archipelago Torguin, but with feathers by accident. PLEASE tell me if there are any mistakes! Thank you.) A torguin only appears on three islands: The archipelago, and every snow island besides the hardest snow island.

On the archipelago, they have silver skin with a black shell and black beak. They appear frequently and if you invite them in, they'll help you collect food. They cannot be invited into your tribe, unless you have an armored body nicheling with a beak. They will recognize you as one of their own because of their poor eyesight; but they'll only help you if you invite them as a baby/teen. You cannot breed with them. If you invite them, it takes 3 food, and they will help you collect food such as rabbils. They don't hunt otherwise, only for you once they realize you're omnivorous/carnivorous when they're adults. They are herbivorous in this island.

On the snow islands, they have silver feathers with a white shell and white beak. They appear less frequently, during heat moments when they come to gather food. They cannot be invited into your tribe, unless you have an armored body nicheling with a beak. They will join you because they know you will provide for them as they provide for you. You cannot breed with them. If you invite them, it takes 3 food, and they will protect you from various creatures such as ramfoxes and balance bears. They are omnivorous on this island. They are more adapted to survival on this island.

I think a new tree would be better. They already added palm and new jungle trees, from a developer standpoint it should be no problem. (I'm more familiar with UE4 than unity, but from my understanding the trees are functionally the same with a different skin, I could be wrong)

Birch trees dropping apples seems odd to me, since they don't IRL. If they do make birch trees drop apples, then people will suggest apple trees anyway because birch trees don't bear fruit.

Hmm... that's true. I'm not very familiar with the functions of trees or the way the game is programmed, so thank you for informing me! :')

  10. I think adding an apple tree would be cool, because we currently only have two sources of food from trees; nuts and apes. The ladder is only on one island, and is hard to fight, so I feel an apple tree that gave 2-3 food when gathered from would be interesting! Maybe you could gather them with only two gathering ability, but you'd get less food like berry bushes? :0
