Where we last left off, Lalia was discovered by a rogue male.
Lalia stared in shock at the rogue. He slid off the hill.
"Hello..." He slurred.
"Go away!!" Lalia yelled. She batted him in the nose with her paw and dashed away.
She raced far away from him, leaping over branches and startling every rabbil in her way.
"I think i lost him..." she whispered to herself. She sighed. "I think i lost him." She nervously dug up roots to take her mind off it, and closed her eyes.
"Where do you think YOU'RE going...?" He growled.
Pt. 2
"You know, you're being very naughty right now." "Please, just leave me alone!" The rogue chuckled. "well, why would i do that?" "Want me to give you two reasons?" She snapped. "I HAVE a mate-" "So?" "-AND I'M ALREADY PREGNANT." "..." "...You are?" "Yes, numbskull." The rogue bared his teeth. "well, who's this mate of yours?!" He puffed up his chest. "Dakon!" she called out.
A big male stepped out of the shadows. He had a huge peacock tail that fanned out, revealing bright blues and purples. His stern, cold blue eyes shot daggers at the rogue. "...Uh..." The rogue's ears flattened. "Y-You know, I really gotta go... You know, like, places to go, f-females to mate with... I'm just gonna...." He disappeared into the grass. "Are you okay?" Dakon looked down at his mate. "Yes, Dakon... I think i'm ready..." " Let's go off and find a better nest. This one looks old."
hours later
"let's just make it on the beach, next to that berry bush..." Laila said. They built the nest together, piling cut grass on top of itself, until a circular shape was visible. Laila nestled herself into her makeshift nest while Dakon sat nearby, watching for intruders.
even laterer
"Move them to the grass!" Laila said excitedly. They had twins!

"They're opening their eyes!" Laila whispered loudly.

Do you think this is a good average length for these story parts or do you think it should be longer?

(Im not an amazing writer so if im repetitive or theres too many periods, im sorry. Im trying to get better)
Lalia padded through the thick grass. Two gems were dim, and she was exhausted. A trio of bluebirds circled overhead. She glared up at them angrily, staring into their golden eyes.
She trotted quicker, trying to leave those nasty things behind. While pushing through the brush, she caught a whiff of something that just didn't smell right. She stopped and pricked her ears up, scanning the thicket in front of her. She continued on, carefully placing her steps. Her eyes darted back and forth, and she was breathing heavily. As soon as she passed by, two green eyes pierced through the grass.
Lalia shivered as the fur stood up on her neck. She slowly turned her head around...
...And came snout-to-snout with a large brown rogue.

Im gonna do a story about one of my niche ocs. the first part is gonna be about her mom and that kinda stoof. Also i dont think this is going to be a roleplay, because i already have the story set out in my head, so is there any better place i could put this?

This is my first post, so go easy on me. So..... New genes! Ive had ideas for these for a while, but wasnt a member. so here ya go!
Snake snout: New perception mode- Infrared. Pretty much self explanatory if you know how infrared works. Living creatures have the red and yellow fill on them, and maybe the older they get, the fill gets dimmer? You can see entities in grass further away than you could with other ones, and there's a 50 percent chance (if you find it in a wanderer) that it adds + 1 venomous. other than that, i cant think of anything else for upsides.... i chose this because real snakes use this to find prey. now for stats. +1 strength,(+ 2 if venomous) + 1 venomous if... you know... venomous... +1 distasteful appearance, and +1 defense if its venomous, since predators are hesitant to attack. You can remove any of these if you think its too OP. Unlock- Travel to a full savanna island, and walk in grass 100 times, because snakes like to hang out in brush and tall grass. Bonus is they can kill rabbils immediately, regardless of attack. You can remove this if you want as well.
Rattle tail: Acts like the purr snout, in the way that you press a button to activate it. If you shake it, all ground predators will run away for 5 days, including killer bearyenas, but only if the nicheling than shook its tail had more attack. ( i dont know how high killer bearyena attack is. if its impossible to get higher than it, just forget the feature to scare them away, or just have it for one day.) Maybe theres more rings on the tail visibly depending on how old the nicheling is? No stats added, just that ability. Unlock- Use voice call on a stump 150 times, and attack 50 times. I wanted to make it hard, because of how strong the gene is.
-Downsides-
If you shake your tail, Wanderer nichelings will run away, as well as prey, and stagmoles go back into their burrows.
You scare young nichelets (what i call baby nichelings) in the tribe and out of it, and they get a "frightened" affliction and cant move for a day, unless one of their parents comfort them, removing their affliction. This affliction wil be negated if their parent is the nicheling with the rattle tail, and they will instead get a positive moodlet that boosts defense. Thats all for now! Yep... i hate when this happens. ROLEPLAY COMMENCE
Dukkir: Ok, so we have exactly 13 food. We will divvy it out now.
Dukkir: Two for Emperor Starfur and Empress Bluepaw, 2 for their daughter and son, 2 for our collectors, 2 for our defenders, 1 for our non-Royal nichelet, (thats what i call baby nichelings) and one for me.
Dukkir: *gives out food* Wait, wheres the last 1 berry?
Dukdukduk: *nervously chews berry*
Dukir: FOR YUKI'S SAKE DUKDUKDUK THIS NEEDS TO STOP

JEEZ HELLO EVERYONE IVE BEEN GONE FOR SO LONG
I probably still won't be uploading a lot, but i'm back
Let me explain. I had some technical difficulties (Strayfawn website signed me out for some reason and i was too lazy to fix it😐) And i just fixed it today. It really wasn't that hard... Oof. But i'm back now so yeah. 😺
