Ah, that makes sense! Although there still seems to be a problem displaying genes, as I just had another creature born that should be displaying tail fin that is displaying scorpion tail instead.

I've started messing around with the new update preview and have found a bug. As you can see in the screenshot, this creature should be displaying peacock tail (with tail fin inactive), but this looks like a tail fin to me
