One very big problem i find is that the altitude sensor uses percentage of a planets size. so for smaller planets if you want to make a support drone thats supposed to stay out of combat you cant do that because for the smaller planets its way too close to the surface and if you set it to max for bigger planets its way to high or not even high enough. a simple fix would be add a height from the surface of a planet or its center(preferably its surface) so if someone would wish to they could do a satalite drone for support and it could be usefull for more then only higher up thing you could make a surface scanner that could pick up barrel or any other items.
