Chapter 1 - Origins
Our story starts with these two cats, the left being Briarsong and the right being Nightstar.
Nightstar wants to have a best friend and mate from an enemy clan, and he also wants to kill a cat.
Briarsong wants to train an apprentice into a warrior, to master the skill of fighting, and to convince an outsider to join the clan. She is rather short tempered and snappy, as well as very loyal. When she finds out about Nightstar's wishes, she'll surely kick him out by force, even if he's a leader.
Today, two wanderers have been found while Nightstar and Briarsong were setting up camp with the help of their daughter, Specklesplash. Briarsong has fulfilled her wish of convincing an outsider to join the clan. These two outsiders have been named Weaselskip (red one) and Branchclaw (spiky body.)
Weaselskip wants to convince multiple outsiders to join the clan, and to become a medicine cat. He is rather charming and friendly.
Meanwhile, Branchclaw wants to leave the clan and start a different one and to find a mate for life. She is a master hunter.
Specklesplash wants to master the fighting, hunting, and fishing skills to prove herself. She also wants to kill multiple cats for some reason. Possibly to rise to power? She also wishes to hunt on enemy territory. Perhaps she wants to master all those skills to fool her clan into thinking she's a good, loyal warrior.
(By the way, if you are wondering, yes, I am using the console. I'm purely using it to have an easier time setting up. I'll get rid of it later.)
ThornClan has finished setting up their camp today. Meanwhile, Branchclaw thanks the cats for their hospitality, but leaves, claiming what she wants to do in life lays outside the clan. In the meantime, Nightstar and Briarsong decide to mate to provide more kits for ThornClan. Weaselskip has busied himself with removing the toxic berry bushes to protect future kits.
Briarsong has given birth to a kit she has named Cherryspots, but at the same moment a bearyena decides to attack the clan. Weaselskip, the clan's strongest warrior, and Nightstar, the second strongest, jump in to protect the queen and her kit.
Cherryspots is an optimistic and opportunistic cat. She will be a master fisher (I'll edit her genes for that), and she will also be a rebel. Quite a spunky she-cat, I would say!And after this, the file broke! Thanks console commands, I knew I could(n't) count on you!
Should've backed up the file. and also just killed the bearyena with console.

Yep to both of those! Ultimately you want to get to home island, but the main thing is to survive longer than other people.

Total time required to get home? 2 hours. And that probably because I like to spend time on some islands...
Other times, I often got into the infamous island loop, which prevents a northern port from spawning, no matter how often you go left or right.
Better watch out for either complication. I am not risking the loop again.
Yeah, you should probably watch out for that. Also, new rule guys, in the competition if you're prompted with the option to go to any island via the whale island port, go to the one right below whale island. No exceptions. We don't cheat here!

Anyone wanna compete in a niche tournament or competition with me? It's an idea I just randomly came up with one day. Here's some info:
The Basic Goal
Our main goal is to survive for as long as possible and traverse through as many islands as possible.
Some Rules and Stuff
1. A maximum of five people can participate. Sorry.
2. We will be doing this in story mode.
3. Nobody is allowed to use the console under any circumstances! (looking at you, goggles... and myself.)
4. Everyone participating must post updates every so often. If you fail to update for at least a week and a half, I will ask you if something's happening. If you do not reply within two weeks and a half, you will be kicked from the competition. You can appeal the kick to re-enter, but you only get one chance to do this.
5. If you have to go away for some time, please notify me!
6. As soon as we start, nobody else may join to avoid complications.
7. If you are able to get to home island, you automatically become a winner in the competition. If multiple people get to home island, there will be a tiebreaker.
8. If you wish to stop participating, tell me so and I'll let you leave.
9. Do not update here! Make your own topic titled as so: <Your username/screenname here>'s Update Journal - Niche Tournament/CompetitionWhat's the Tiebreaker?
The tiebreaker is simple: if multiple people get to home island, with home island immunity or not, they must do a tiebreaker. In this tiebreaker, the people must start on the deadly hills island in sandbox mode. The people must survive for as long as possible, and the last one to die wins the competition.
How do I join?

Also I'm thinking in the niche rp our creatures can survive as long as we want, since their in-game lifespans would be rather short. However, everyone is limited to 15 posts per in-rp day, 5 posts standing for one energy gem. The creatures can move around as much as they want though during those 15 posts. Pregnant mothers give birth after 3 in-rp days, however, someone must be confirmed to rp as their baby. Otherwise, one of the parents will have to rp as it.
We can start on any island depending on our storyline. Note this is just a rough idea, and is up to change.

It's fine! I'm quite similar tbh. Anyways, thank you for showing your interest.
Anyways, first thing's first, we should think of a plot. Maybe there are two tribes in the rp who are at war with each other, or maybe we're Adam's family trying to find home island again. Or maybe we're just simply a lone tribe trying to survive in this harsh world.
Btw, If you like, you can go ahead and submit a nicheling you'd like to rp as here. I recommend using console commands to give them the genes you want.

I was creating one with some other people a while ago, but everyone just kinda abandoned the project. I still really wanna do one though. So, anyone interested?
We could use this as a planning page to create plot ideas, where we'll start, where we'll rp, etc.

Nice. Btw, I also have and play shelter 2, and if you're ever suspicious of something, just call to your kittens. If your meow comes out as a hiss, look around for danger. In the case you described, you were most likely in range of a bear, or being stalked by a fox. You know when a fox is there if you hear twigs snapping, and for bears, the music will stop and become frightening to put you on edge. Use your scent view if you have to know if danger is there.
Also, be careful during rain. Fires can start if you're in the right place. But sometimes they start out of nowhere. You'll know they've started if the sky suddenly goes super dark and the music stops. During fires, don't run, just walk around them. I learned this the hard way.
In the tundra, btw, you can sacrifice bunnies to wolves if you have them. Simply place a dead rabbit on the ground, and when the wolves come, they'll take it instead of your kits.
Btw, keep watch of bear for me, will you? That was the name of one of my old kits who got snatched by a glitchy fox who came out of the water.
