I haven't played Oxygen, but back in the day I played lots of Mindrover. It had something similar where there were separate Build and Wiring views.

It appears the range sensors cannot see hives, gun emplacements, or other non-ship enemies.

[Weapon Rarity: Feedback.]

I think you are mistaking the effect of weapon rarity.  Based on my analysis, rarity increases the number of mods a weapon may have.  But it does not affect the weapon's type or damage.  You can get plenty of Epic weapons with 3 useless upgrades (reduced recoil, high air resistance, etc.) and then get a Rare weapon with 2 good upgrades (120% damage, double number of shots).

 

So, while the chances are higher that an epic weapon will be good, the advantage isn't significant enough to warrant skipping rares.

One possible approach to logic programming is to have a separate "logic connection mode".  Instead of showing structural connections, logic mode shows signal input and output connections between parts.  Then you can create and manipulate signals via mouse drags and clicks, instead of assigning dozens of keys.

I found the number and types of weapons confusing at first, so I am trying to compile a listing.  This is for the most recent alpha demo, so I'm sure more changes are coming.  For now, I'm doing it on the subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/NimbatusGame/comments/7con6g/basics_of_weapon_types/

[Deactivated UI, can't Reactivate]

I tried F7 and Escape to no effect.  I killed the game with the Task Manager and haven't had the issue recur.

I somehow have been disabling the UI during shipbuilding, and cannot find any key to reactivate it.  Thus I can't exit the game without killing it entirely.

 

I'm on Windows 10.
