So are you proposing a whole new system of HP into the game?

Also what is #SaveNiche? Just curious.

Normal HP don't count down days. Life expectancy includes both functions. If it were just hit points, a nicheling may be fragile, okay. But that doesn't automatically reduce its lifespan. That's the whole issue. Reducing HP would work by lowering defense and having nichelings take more damage, but not combined.

    > - > wow your dense...
HP Can be effected by multiple things. Inculding but not limited to "Life Span" but the thing is most games don't use Niche's System for the "Life"
No mater how you look at it. you can consider this to be the fact.
HP is the number of Hit points / Health Said character has untill death.
Effects that can lower this number are Perminanent Damage, Debuffs and but not lastly "Life Span"
In Niche's Case Life span effects the "HP" by taking one point of perminanently per day and increases the age number of the character.

OTHER GAMES use a method called strength in youth.
1-16 years of character age you are more vulnerbal
17-50 or so your more agile, endured and sttonger!
75/80-100 years you become an elder and your much weaker but smarter. thus back to being vulnerable.

Also Im getting tired of responding so unless you have factual evidence to back up your statement like how i have just done. Please stop. im asking kindly.

I don't think you understood at what point im looking at this.
i consider "Health Points" To be affected by an always decreasing number average being 20 days then death
And as for the "fragile" part i mean they get more hurt.
If i may suggest. you should try and look at the statement in several ways and not just through 1 POV. You must consider the writters meaning, as how i have considered the Viewers POV ^^
I hope this reply helps clear up what i mean by HP and hope that this helps you on your future Criticising methods

You're stacking this like you would a set in an MMORPG...

    - A tail can give cold resistance in reality, but not much in way of movement unless it's apes, or cats balancing on trees.

    - I don't think any known predator targets prey by ear size or shape.

    - Nichelings don't have HP, only lifespan. Same problem as in point 1, it just doesn't make sense within the context of genes

im just saying this for an example when i say HP not meaning definate and technically their lifespan is their HP. Decrease or increased life by damaged etc

  5. Wolf Genes. Well More like Genes that will allow the Nicheling Pack to become Stronger! Faster? and Playful!
At the moment Nichelings are just statues with moving heads.
Maybe adding Genes which allow Nichelings to interact with each other can benifit the entire pack or those arround them.

    Howling Snout.
Allows For howling wich can give a 2day Buff to strength if there are 3 or more Nichelings moving together. (Stackable 3x times)
    (Unknown stats)

    Fluffy Body.
Makes Nichelings faster, and stronger attacks? Exchange for lower Defence/HP.
    (Unknown stats)

Fluffy Ears and Tail! (Cosmetics?) (Must be unlocked by mating with wolves?/Nichelings with trait)
Ears allow for greater hearing but make the Nicheling look more desirable for hunting.
Tail allows 1 more movement maybe even adds 1 Defence?

Predator Eyes (Unlocked by mating with predators)
    4 sight

    Playful Genes

    Soft snout
Allows nichelings to heal exchange for food cost of 1
Allows nichelings Lick to heal hemophilia (50% heal) Cost 2 food!

    Soft Tail
Allows the nicheling to warm the target reciever. (effective for 1day)

    Slobber Snout
Salavia! an animals most effective tool, allows for Grater! Healing Exchange it can only be used once per 2days

    Nocturnal Eyes
If there is an Stranger/Predator moving at night around 4 tiles, the Nicheling May be able to see them, and let a growl for an alert!

    Open to Imporvements?

  6. lets admit it. The waters are to kind. There is no Threat besides for that little red fish, which you can kill in one hit.
    LETS ADD A PREDATOR!
i introduce SNARKS! Half Shark half Snake, make a Snark.

    Sea Snarks (none poisonous)
    HP: 50
    Attack: 5 +Bleeding
    Moves: 4tiles
    Meat: 10
    River Snarks (poisonous)
    HP:20
    Attack: 1 +Bleeding
    Poison: 2 75% chance
    Moves: 6
    Meat: 5
Great Snark! (Only spawns once per 5 islands.)
    Hp: 100
    Attack: 10
    Moves: 2
    Poisonous? Maybe.
    Meat: 20-30

(Over night movement like all predators)

  7. A Gene to Charm Predators, and Nichelings!
Charm should be an ability gene related to the body.
Effects of Charm: Makes charmed Predators (doesn't work on all) And Charmed Nichelings, desire to mate with the Charmer, and will make them go Passive, as long as No other nicheling attacks them. May also 20% chance to spark a fight between two rivals who want to mate with the Charmer.

    Charming body
    - Charm: 2
    - Purr: 1
    - Tasteful: 1
    - (immune to spikes)
    - Fragile: 2
    - Defence: 0

  8. Farming. An action that is done by smart animals and has been sean perstant in Ants. Ants are know to have tha ability to "Farm" Plants, insects and sometimes fish.
Farming is most common with black and crazy ants, commonly when the Demand for food is low, as they have been witness to carry out grain seeds and plant them by thier colonies for them to grow and then feast or grow more of the plant around the colonly.
Crazy ants have also been sean to farm Grubs and worms, feeding them, forcing them to reproduce and fattening them up, only to then kill them and feast on them.

Conclusion Add Farming Genes for the Nichelings.

    Planter tusk?
Make 1 seed per 10/food and 1 gem.
    Planting cost 1 gem.
    - Planting +1
    - Sight: 1
    - Strength: 1
    - Collecting: 1
    - Hearing: 1
    - smell: 0

Allows the building of small stones and small nest to fence animals in like rabids or fish!
    - Farming: 1
    - Strength: 2
    - Fishing: 1
    - Smell: 0
    - sight: 2
    - hearing: 0

    Gense subject to change*

  10. an option to this is to have the cacti and "savanna" barriers blossom more frequently as in reality desert and savanna type plants blossom rapidly  over night  to collect moisture. Secondly the cacti would have a flower blossom which might allow one turn of harmless pollinating ^^

  11. So after a lot of thinking from my previous idea of gods or demons, I heard many people preferred to keep the game as realistic as possible so I had a long hard think about the idea. Yes I know its mentioned before, however I don’t feel like its been proposed to Sandbox where you can add an option to allow this idea, maybe togglable for the style of gameplay the user would prefer.

I’m mainly suggesting this idea again but on a different take on how it might be added, is because on YT and in some cases on twitch and other recording platforms, I see many people in hopes of Deity system, and what not… which sparked curiosity in me. Taking the idea’s of the youtubers and other people and refining them made me think… I noticed people didn’t really want a permanent nichling but rather, one that would have a life bonus or one that could occasionally be brought back, for high cost, from some sort of thing. Now unlike last time I’m not suggesting a religion or whatever. However I just come to notice to what I’ve seen on niche recordings, so maybe this could be an idea.
oh well hopes of luck. 😃

  12. while i was thinking there are so many genes to do with the day but the question is what happens in the darkness of the night? maybe having the ability to right click gems that would mean you could make a move at night but of course this does mean  your niche will only get the choice of being either night or day, for each individual nicheling i was thinking that it would bring a  great view of seeing how the night works and on top of that just a few characters to move around during the night, maybe it could open up meny new events
Night debuffs: sight -1/2, slightly cold
pros: Hunting is easier, prey have 50% chance not to notice your  nichelings

something along that but this idea isn't just decided by me but i want the entire community to make an idea of how this could work, its all up to you after all.

This forum is for suggestions for future development, to try to get features added to the game. I'll move you over to the discussion forum.

Edit: misunderstood you as saying this was a suggestion on how to handle your gameplay, and not a feature request. I das mistaken. Moved you back. >.<

im actually suggesting like a mini religion in the niche game as to which of how many people play as such as me for one of them making deities/demons out of their nichelings ^^ its a suggestion of a way to keep them alive and to somehow reseract them, but ofcourse this just a suggestion

Niche is supposed to be educational and realistic...

yes i know but this a suggestion to such niche fans like me that have thoughts on making deities and demons from their nichelings, not stating if this should infact be in the game just a round up suggestion/ work around to how many people like me find these so call "deities or demons" thats all

  15. i don't know about anyone else but i for one support this because usually, you just need an emergency turn altho i also think that this should be a gene and not a base feature
Benifits: gives an emergency escape on last gem only
Debufs: if last gem is used, necheling would get sleapy aka leaving him with only 3/2 gems again

  16. in my mind for so long now i have had the impression of what actually makes a nicheling a Deities or demons, is it simply just because of their Genes, or the memories and beliefs other nichelings hold for them or their own Pride and actions?
Truth be it I’m kind of sick of making Deities or Demons that just relate to their genes, what i actually propose is that there be two tribe spiritual stone/Tomb stones that would have a rare chance of appearing on islands say 25-45% chance the harder the island the higher the chance tho.
One of these spiritual Tomb stones should be that of immortalising a dead nicheling that has committed to the path of Good will and positivity, able to be summoned occasionally as Deities having a Blue/golden Ring around them displaying them as deities (the Blue/golden tombstone), The other Tomb stone would be of negativity and darkness and nichelings that have committed to its path should be able to be summoned and immortalised as Demons, and should have a red ring around them displaying them as such (plust tomb of red or darkness).
Now you may ask how would you be able to tell them apart from each other. Well that’s quite simple a life bound reputation that counts every positive or negative action they do revolving around them and the pack/tribe.
Good actions would have good actions like hunting for the tribe, defending against predators and “Adam’s curse” etc would increase the positive soul reputation of your nicheling.
However actions of greed and negativity such as killing innocent wanderers, hurting your pack, or things on those lines should bring a negative reputation on said nicheling
[deities would be brought from around 85% positivity and vice versa to the demons]

this is just a suggestion to make line of what true deities would be like. of course I’m not saying this should happen but just a simple idea so I hope you enjoy and find much respect from this suggestion.

(yes i understand niche is supposed to be realistic but this suggestion would bring a whole meaning to having deiteis or demons)

“uOOOGGG Goggles-kun! I hate sick creatures enough!” you might be saying, quickly typing on the keyboard as you write a rebuttal statement in the comments. “My beautiful Lareko was a sick girl and she only lived for 12 days because of sickness!”

    ...Hear me out, Francis.

So far, there are only three diseases: Common Cold, Genetic Sickness, and Sleeping Sickness. Those are all fine and dandy, but what if I told you only three does not satisfy my everlasting hunger for more?

Introducing: the new disease I called “Deadly Disease” for creativity! This disease only appears on all “deadly” islands (except for Home Island because yes), and causes... two or three damage a day. Seems fair to me. I don’t think it should be caught on random chance. Perhaps only wanderers and rogue males can carry it? And the chances of getting it are higher in the Jungle and hard swamp island? I dunno.

Goggles-kun the disease fan, signing out!

i really don't think its needed i mean most niche chracters only live 30 days and that alone is pretty "weak" deppendingon how you look at it. on top of that its pretty much a pain dealing with the normal diseases of -1 hp per day, including if your trying to keep the home immunity gene through the run. personally i have had 5-7 attempts now and no success so yah. (or its just me and i suck...)
