    True, The suggestion is more towards bases not crafts and like turret drops for fast simple use so the don't fall over when they land and with the terrain gun it will most likely make the drone fall over due to uneven terrain and so on.

    I'd be perfectly happy with options to make smaller non-prefab subdrones and missiles, though. 

    True but the craft gets very large and for smaller pc's its more impossible to have more than one drone on the screen this just saves space and time and ins't op its just a small drone with 1 weapon 2 hovers or thrusters on the sides and that's it for smaller builds

    But that defeats the point of basicness really, With this press on button and boom done with that there's more planning and managing and block count then just placing blocks under you craft or turret drop ect

    But then you'd need fuel weapons batteries logistic parts and it will only stay in one place so then you'd need more logistics making it a drone and not a mini drone this makes it simple and easy to replace and just adds more options for weapons and drone designs.

    Well that just makes it where the cursor is or where the weapons are pointing ( it is kinda not effective for what I'm suggesting it would probably build to much and interfere with the craft ) I'm just suggesting it be a block with a radius so for people who want to build bases or something.

No idea how this would go into implementing into the game but here go's there would be different types of hover small medium large and massive small would be for mini drones that are meant for scouting or have one weapon the hovers would be effected by gravity and how far away it is from terrain for exp planets with strong gravity it would be slower but not slow enough to where its worse then rocket thrusters this would be a good way for people to get around on tho's planets but with weak gravity it loses its effectiveness it gets slower and overall useless for normal gravity it would be about the same of thrusters but when closer to the core it becomes a bit faster so when its near the surface its faster compared to when its further away this could either be effected by how close it is to the core or just terrain in general, just something that allows more movement options and maybe instead of using fuel it uses energy because its a hover craft or maybe both it would take half the normal amount of normal thrusters so lets just say 1 it uses .5 fuel and .5 energy and more for larger variants or more energy less fuel like .5 fuel and 1 energy something interesting

Not Sure if anyone's talked about this or not but wheels for surface drones it would be a simple connection point with different wheel variants like Magnets or wheels that scorched the ground ( not sure how that would work gameplay wise but there ya go ) with larger wheel types like massive one's that can move huge fortresses and others for smaller drone's like scouts and so on.

  11. By Terrain Block i mean something built at the bottom of the drone that when it connects to the planet or button is pressed it will build terrain around it to make a smooth surface connection for Fob's and Turret drops and such.

    Basically its an anchor when a button is pressed and is touching a surface or maybe a drone ( which could be changed by a tab when changing settings to make it connect to the terrain done's or both ) which would allow turret drops and mini bases made by factories, just something that's interesting and would be fun to play with.

I have a suggestion have a block or weapon of some kind where it holds a certain amount of drones like a drone rack that can hold 4 mini drones that can be modified where it can carry a weapon or a shield or something small and can be rebuilt pretty fast it would either follow the cursor or have a button on the build section or something where when pressed it allows the mini drones when spawned to guard a certain part of the ship and will go a certain distance away when it detects an enemy which could be upgraded allowing further sight which allows further targeting and have upgrades for better accuracy and so on and in later upgrade tree's allowing multiple weapons like a rocket and shield but the shield wont be massive it will be a mini shield that can block a few shots before needing recharging which could be upgraded for more hp but longer recharge times to balance it allowing more diverse builds and maybe a patrol feature where you place a few way points like when selecting a area to defend they will follow the way points at the drones speed or a faster speed for faster crafts so it can keep up and maybe if they get to far they explode and you need new ones or something just an interesting idea that some people might like who knows.

    hmm and maybe when if created by a factory with an anchor or something it will drop to the terrain like a turret and spawn the drones and they will defend that Drone Rack

    I have a suggestion for the menu when choosing drones it would be awesome if you could add tabs or categories that when created by the user can choose a name like for drones that are for sumo arenas they would name it Sumo Drones and have a tab add button under or next to the name of the category like for the Sumo category it would have other tabs named Dodger's Magnet's or Pusher' s for example and maybe a search tab for people who have to many drones and have named them, Just something that improves quality of life ^.^
