    "Electric" or "Ion" weapons might be a good thing to replace bio with, whose uses are very limited right now.

    I explained on another post my take on bio weapons, they should be kept. instead, a new weapon category or even new weapon type could work for 'ion/electric' similar to the old spark weapon, using special exclusive upgrades.

  2. To expand on this;

    I like the idea of more shield variations, so I totally agree with a shield tech tree.

    We could possibly also have a large shield generator, 2x2 in size. Some possible upgrades could be Shield size 1 2 & 3, Shield health 1 2 & 3, and maybe one that allows it to occasionally deflect shots.

  3. First off, I think that there should be a setting for limits, allowing the players to increase the max but not as a direct option, not only encouraging people to come up with workarounds but to avoid new players from changing it and being overwhelmed with higher maximums

     

    second, according to every other suggestion involving multi connect it cannot be done with the way the game is made right now, but you can use the hollow blocks and armor weaving to achieve higher stability.

    I like that idea, maybe the ball moves based on your speed and when it reaches the set speed it activates the output and enters the quadrant in it's direction.

  5. I'm sort of suggesting 2 blocks.

     

    Number block, and Math block.

    The number block stores and shows you a number, stored in a TAG. This would give a second use to tags. tags could have the option of being an integer instead of a 0/1. the Math block allows you to add, subtract, compare etc your tag values. if you set a tag to the input of something with a range an integer for one of it's values, such as a piston length etc you could adjust it's length based on the number. for example the value of tag LEN could be 1, the piston is LEN long. LEN becomes 5 and piston extends to 5.

  6. I know from past experience things can be a bit overwhelming and confusing visually when you have to depend on color LEDs for indicators. that's why I'm suggesting this part. A 2x1 part that emits sound when given an input, it would have a skin menu-like interface that lets you pick from 3 categories: tones, with the different musical notes; miscellaneous, with all sorts of sounds; and optionally like unlockable skins there could be unlockable instruments/sound packs. 

    An active speaker could serve to distract enemies, and help you locate your off screen mini-drones. 

     

    EDIT: I Didn't realize that it already exists, sorry about that. I still brought up some ideas for it, so I'm leaving the post up for now.

  7. I thought it would be nice to have a place to show off your crazy ideas and experiments, from new types of sumo drones to walkers, this is a place for any kind of creation that is anything but normal. even just ridiculous builds.

    the Forerunner hovercraft, a ship created originally to counter gravity but now features 2 upwards rockets that are useless, a spike cannon, pull lasers, shielding systems, planet melter flamethrowers, no energy blasters, and bomb (rocket) dropping systems. there is no recoil on any weapon.

Imagine a part that based on the direction it is placed measures the acceleration or speed of it, and when it reaches a certain value (set in the editor) does a keypress, like the speed sensor but for 1 direction, because the speed sensor is just speed and not speed in a certain direction. this has many practical applications, such as smart stabilization systems, that will apply counterthrust to forces like gravity and pushing from a direction, or to slow down vertical ascent when going too fast, etc.

  9. My idea is that the nimbatus is editable, as in having rooms that can be created or purchased with minerals. 

    it will have a grid system that makes drag and drop editing very simple.

    1: The nimbatus starts with very few rooms, like a drone bay, mineral storage, crew room, etc.
