  1. Yep... I might have gone to far with the 'code in core'-idea, many people just dont know how to do so.

But i really would like some sort of logic-block where the entire logic of the drone can be placed into. Some sort of logic-compression into one block.

Maybe give the core some space for about ten gates, if more is needed there is a bigger placeholder (2x2 to 4x4?) to add (near infinite?) space for logic.

  2. A Delay would be nice to have.

Adding more logic parts should be a win for all who know how to use it, so i dont think that 'build around limitations' is always an appealing way to play with logic.

Sometimes i wish that all the logic could be in the core as a bunch of code. Python, Java, Basic... something like that, probalby in a simplified version.

Btw: How about a sound-module? Synths playing the soundtrack of planetary meltdown while playing Snake or Tetris on the Drone in Nimbatus. :)

  3. IMHO forced timesinks for traveling are not commiting to the 'fun'-part of the game, but may well be an option if one can reduce the 'cross galaxy travel time' from a "few minutes" to a "few seconds" with upgrades.

But i like the general idea about an upgradable core!

Transmitters giving the possibility to travel in a random part of the galaxy sounds interesting.

And yes, the map needs some sort of overlay to remember where all the planets with good resources are located.

  4. After playing around with the techtree and after creating some awesome weapons it dawned on me that the handling of the different weapons is quite a hassle.

It would be nice to be able to sort the weapons and group them in different ways (Tags?).

Adding a search or the ability to filter the list wont hurt either.

    Thanks! :)

  5. Are there known issues with the latest windows 10 release?

I just had a strange freeze. It startet with looping sound from spotify (playing background), gamesound looped as well.

The game was still running fine a few seconds aside the soundproblem. Than the landscape startet to be indestructible, couldn't mine either, but the drone was movable, weapons fired, explosions happend.

Next nimbatus froze to an halt, could not be closed with alt-F4 and ctrl-alt-del did nothing.

The mouse was still movable, i tried to open the taskmanager with the mouse on the taskbar on my secondary monitor, nothing happend, right click on the nimabusicon in the taskbar brought up nothing, an open explorer-window could be moved ober to the primary monitor and was in front ob nimbatus, could open up the start-menu once,  then freeze of everything but mousepointer.

After a powercycle all is looking good again...

  6. I played this planet a few times already and knew where to shoot in advance to kill those pests, but in this case the two bases just popped into existance.

I could not reproduce the behaviour after more than ten tries.

Maybe it's because i tried to play my cheap laptop (Pentium N4200, 4GB) that had a special sluggish moment (about 5 fps), never saw this on the i7 desktop.

  7. Sparkling napalm of destruction? I like it!

The "affected by gravity" looks interesting, im imaging secondary drones pouring planetmelting particels flying circles untill nothing is left...

    Yeah, i think i'm (a bit) pyromaniacal :)

  8. Scanning planets sound like a nice addition to exploring!

Maybe even add some way a scan gives some bonus on this planet, like +x% more ore gathered/found, put an effect to enemys, more damage done, less damage taken, etc. and an option to scan for certain things even multiple times to increase that bonus.

@STM I found if you press delete it will clear the box so you don't have to hammer backspace.

Thank you!  Because the cursor appears right of the text and cant be placed anywhere else i didn't even try to hit that button...

    Talking about improvement:

Make the list of Tags appear as soon as the inputfield opens

It would be nice to be ablet to select a Tag-Name and edit the name of it. Also add a checkbox to select if one want to change all tags with the same name or just this one. (I hope it's clear how i mean that this will work :))

Add a function to highlight all modules where a given tag is in use.

I think if we do something like this we need to move the techtree out of the weapon workshop.

I feel like the techree should be easier to view, not just when editing a drone.

So, less clicks to view and spend resourced into, maybe in the ESC-menu?

  11. Worms... I remember when the first one got released! Now i feel a bit old... :D

As i dont know how to solve it either i can just hope there is a "simple" solution to it.

Maybe the drone can "damage" the landscape with its mass / inertia?

So when the drone hits landscape head on there should be not much difference to how it is now, depending on inertia of the drone there could be a little dent, but a tiny pixel will just be "killed" from the impact of the drone.
