  1. maybe you can build walls or structures for material? like a wall to block predators, a post to gain a high position, or a dam to block fish or run across rivers

     

    ways they could be used:

     

    wall

    cost: 5 material each

    uses: blocking in a predator, preventing movement through said tile, for anything except nichelings

     

    post

    cost: 5 material each

    uses: essentially a buildable stump

     

    Dam

    cost: 5 material each

    uses: blocking fish(and possible aquatic predators) from entering or leaving certain areas, creating a bridge across water

     

    Pitfall Trap(maybe)

    cost: 3 material each and 2 digging

    uses: trapping prey, base defense against predators

  2. wait the "leech disease" was a glitch where leeches would eternally drain hp from a creatures, even if it was removed also I made an idea for the jungle biome called the parasitic worms debuff, nichelings with this disease consume two food a day, have no stealth and will suffer from a status effect called internal bleeding, which functions like poison, the worms come from tiles labeled; infected mud, and are transmitted when a nicheling rolls or eats a dead carcass on that tile, to cure, a nicheling must eat a healing flower(will also eliminate internal bleeding) or be licked by a venomous creature or lick a poisonous creature(side effect of licking or being licked by toxic creatures is that other than killing the parasites, will cause the nicheling to lose 1 day of life if it is not venom resistant) also Venomous or poisonous creatures are immune to this disease

  3. one thing though, the flamingo is pink due to dietary side effects and eyelash vipers can also be red or green(green is mostly for leaf and algae camo) and the use it as essentially warning coloring or as camouflage to blend in with all the flowers and fruits, for example, it is hard to spot a yellow one among a bunch of bananas(this happens all the time and results in vipers slithering around Brazilian markets) or spotting a red one among heliconia flowers or slinking around tree branches at night

    Mycelia (grows poisonous mushrooms, 1 every day, each one gives 2 food)

    (New) Healing bulb (spawns under healing flowers, does the same thing but takes 10 days to regenerate)

    Bunnils(can escape to the surface through holes)

     

    Stagmoles(can pop out of the bottom of their holes too)

     

    Giant earthworm (when killed, gives 50 food, exceedingly rare, needs 5 strength to kill, lives for 75 days)

    diet: anything that moves(it tries at least), dead things and mushrooms

    predators: carnivorous roots, Burrowing owlparrot(lone one is toast), nichelings(lone ones are toast), Pythadillo lizard(Snaps the worm in two, eats one half and the other scurries away), badgerbats(lone one is toast)

    counter: the way this creature attacks is by engulfing its target, which takes 5 days to digest, but it has no other defenses but to flee, only one strong attack is needed to rip it open and free the creature

     

    Burrowing owlparrot🦉 (functions the same as the one in community voting), can fly out of the underground caverns too

     

    Pythadillo lizard(enters through burrows of its prey, will attempt to hunt the earthworms too)

     

    The Badgerbat🦇, the stone cold vicious driller killer of the underground, (just call it the badgerbat)

    when this creature attacks a target, they suffer heavy bleeding(does not work on Owlparrots, Parravens, bluebirds and creatures with higher defense than their attack) 

    when attacked, all other Badgerbats will detect the attacker and attack it 

    diet: essentially anything smaller than a nicheling, and fruits

    predators: adult bearyenas, Bluebirds and balance bears(rarely), Burrowing Owlparrots, Pythadillo lizard

    how to get: feed 5 food to a baby or juvenile badgerbat

    abilities: identical to a normal badgerbat

    special: will guard young, sick or old nichelings and hunt with you

    1 Tunneling(enables creation of chambers underground in a drawing, almost EOU style, if the creature also has digging, then it enables the creation of more chambers in one turn, the creature will also move to the furthest chamber dug)

How about a giant snake-like amphibian, the Olke(Olm + snake), it will patrol the cave waters(with 4 swimming) and wait for unlucky prey in the form of anything nicheling sized and smaller, while it can walk on land(2 speed), its foul odor(0 scentless) gives it away to any nicheling with good smelling, so it slinks through the moister parts of the caves(in or near water), relying on its masterful stealth(6) and camouflage(it loses its cover and stealth when attacked) to attack prey, it can also climb to the top of the cave and drop on any unlucky prey item sitting underneath the stalactite it rests on or climb up a stalagmite and do the same thing, to kill it, bring along two or more nichelings, it will then attack one, but the other will be free to attack it and it will retreat and bolt up to the ceiling or into the nearest water source, due to its over-reliance on smell(it has 6 smelling), distasteful scent works well against it
